Duct Tape, Zippy ties, or Dremel? Or do you have another invention that has had a bigger impact on civilization? :p

The M4 Carbine of course:D
I voted "other" because I think baby wipes are the best invention. There must be 101 uses for them besides baby's bottoms.
I voted "other" since the correct answer is the twist-off beer bottle cap.

<edited> :p , but out of the list, it has to be Duct tape.
Seriously:
Transistor
Microprocessor
Automobile (assembly line)
Airplane
Nuclear power
Electricity and indoor plumbing. (Utilities in general)
The Entire space program
Mass Media
Telephone
Digital Information
I'm sure I am missing a whole grip of stuff. Heck I bet some of the stuff I listed is out of the late 19th century.
Oh I almost forgot Breast implants ;)
Edited: Let's refrain from using those types of nouns please. We do have a few women on this site and one of them is a moderator here in the GD. Thanks - Marc.
I voted 'other'.
Jet power and the internet have brought us all a heck of a lot closer.
(with no jet power, I wouldn't have a job, and with out the internet my job would be a whole heck of a lot harder)

No question, TIVO is the most important invention since the wheel.

My pick(s) would be:
1. Language
2. Electricity (harnessing and utilizing of)
1. Language
Man, life in the 1800s must have been tougher than I realized.

:p :p :p
For some reason, I read it as "...of all time." So scratch "language" and bump up "electricity" (though that may technically have started in the 19th century.

Immunization
Immunization! More important than Duct Tape?
How can you say that:confused:
My serious list would be topped by:
Penicillin
Transistor
By far the most important invention/advancement is the electrical power grid.
For all its shortcomings, and there are many, where would we be without it?

I had to vote dremel. It felt so underloved.

Only the eskimos had cold beer:eek:
I would say the airplane is the most important invention of the 1900's. Consider it's impact on warfare, commerce, and travel.
Plus, I work at an airplane factory.

Plus, I work at an airplane factory.
I would argue the electrical grid had a greater impact on all three.
Global warming.

That's funny! :)
