View Full Version : Anyone know where I can get a Noveske N4 barrel?

I'm looking for a standard N4 barrel to be cut down for a custom build. I know that dealers can only sell them as complete uppers. So I guess I'm looking for one taken off of an upper. Anyone know where I can find one?

PS-Grant, I sent you an IM about the build I have in mind.

Thanks guys,

mtdawg

I think a 12.5 SS Noveske is going to be my backup plan. I really want to use something nearly as accurate, but lighter in weight. A chopped N4 meets alot of criteria. light, accurate and durable. I`m trying to piece together a dream build, so I think it is going to take some time to piece together the parts I have in mind.

You won't find N4 barrels being sold as a stand alone unit, at least not from a dealer. If you do find a bare barrel, it will be one taken off someones build, and you will probably end up paying a large premium.

Your best bet, and cheapest route may be buying a basic N4 upper, and going from there.

This is mission impossible. I would wait for Noveske to make N4's in 12.5.

It may be tough, but like I mentioned in post #5, I'm willing to be patient on this build due to the rarity of some of the parts I want to use. I missed an opportunity recently when someone sold an N4 takeoff bbl from an MPLA MOE rifle. Maybe Noveske will offer a 12.5 N4 later this year.:)

MSTN Just got 10.5 N4 barrels in...

If I were building an SBR right now I'd jump on the shortest N4 u could get

I guess they are all gone because I am not seeing any N4 barrels.

I think the deal is that he can only put them in an upper build for you--no bare barrel sales.

This maybe a silly question..
I assume the Noveske N4 10.5" barrel is better than the Noveske 10.5" CQB barrel due to the "Mil Spec M249 Machine Gun barrel steel, with heavy M249 Chrome Lining"?

Rainier has Noveske 10.5 uppers in stock if you want to go that way.

I dont think "better" is the case. The CQB is the original stainless steel Noveske bbl. The N4 Light is chrome lined 4150. They are two different and both excellent offerings from Noveske. I am looking for an N4 light which has a lighter "govt" profile to save weight.

I believe that's M249, not 4150... hence the price/availability issues. Not to be the guy who jumps in to correct, but I believe Mr. Noveske is pretty particular about his barrels and while very few of us would ever see a difference between 4150 and M249.... John does, and that's what makes Noveske.... Noveske.:)

Noveske N4 barrels do not have a government profile. The N4 barrels have a custom profile designed by Noveske.
