Dumb question, but since these rifles are available to the civilian market, why are they still marked "For Government/Law Enforcement/ Export Use Only?" Just curious, may be getting one at the end of the week at a good price.

Thanks and sorry for the dumb question.

Short version. When the next gun ban takes affect it will assist LE agencies when they seize your weapons. Since it is obviously marked LE/ Military you won't have a leg to stand on.

He's joking. What a gun company stamps into their guns isn't law.
I have a friend who has a lower which is stamped for "for MegaForce use only".

Yes, I am joking :D. The equine has been flogged here before ad nauseum. The only people that can truly explain this are those at Colt. It may have to do with tooling costs or something. Who knows?

About a month ago I saw one for the same. Then, at a show last weekend, I saw one marked $1700.00.

I went to a show in NH last Saturday that had one for $2,200. There was another one there for $1,700.

Yeah right, I wish.

/Borrowed the picture from GunsAmerica. The vendor had the lowest price on a 6920 @ $1750.

Most are going for 19 and up. I bought one 1.5 months ago from Targetmaster in PA, $1700+ tax. None of my local DE stores had any, and they still don't. AR's come in, but they don't sit longer than a day.

I paid $1199 around a year and a half ago....Glad I pulled the trigger when I did. I see them listed for between $1800-$2200 around here...Saw a 6520 for $1699:confused: at a gun show here several weeks ago. Paid an even $1k for mine 2 years ago

I also bought mine from Target Master in PA. That was over a year ago and even then they were the only place in the area who had one. At first I was concerned about the Military / Law Enforcement markings. Now I'm just glad I have it... and it is legal.
