flash hider removal

Hey guys I need some help with this one. I'm trying to remove a bird cage style flash hider from the barrel of a standard Colt A2 SP2 with carry handle. I then need to install QD mount for a YHM can. Please give advice on tools needed and any instructions/cautions you feel are important

I use a vise, rubber coated barrel blocks and a Craftsman tappet wrench to install/remove flash hider.
