I spoke to TD sales and they said their FN SCAR rail covers will be for sale to the public right after SHOT '09. I haven't seen this on their website. Anybody have any info?
(I know SOME of you here already have them from a while back, cough-cough SMGLee. J/K)

I'm actually looking for the same panels, so I would be curious as to who has them.

Alcon,

I received an email reply just this morning from Jeff Cahill at Tango Down regarding the SCAR rail panels. He said that they are currently available from any TD stocking dealer; however, I have yet to find anyone who has posted them to their web sites yet.:)

I love those covers. Been running samples all year on my personal set ups.
Got them in yesterday. All colors and sizes.
We are in the middle of another warehouse expantion this week/weekend. Things are just nuts.

I hope to have them online very soon.

No, they are quite a bit thinner.
Check out MilitaryMoron's site (HERE (http://www.militarymorons.com/weapons/ar.furniture.html#tdscar)) for a good review and comparison.

I will definately be getting these for my guns.

I have some, Ill try to put it up later. I dont know how it works.

Im dumb when it comes to forums... Text only... haha

Keep in mind this is what comes wth the SCAR to SOCOM, I'm not sure what or how TD will offer it to the public. But its the texture & weight that changed form the originals.

Thinner and lighter alone are worth the change over. I will be putting these on my XCR

The SCAR is here! . . .
. . . FN SCAR rail panels.
Listed in the 2009 FN Catalog as SCAR MIL-STD 1913 Rail Protective Covers.

I have tried some preproduction panels earlier this year and loved them. Just as great as the original Tango Down rail cover, but a bit thinner, lighter, and slightly different texture.

"Get Some ! "

They come in 6", 4.125", and 2" lengths.
They are actually a bit less cost than the original Tango Down covers.

Thanks!
Paul

Neato. Thanks for the pics Paul. I checked your website earlier today and while all the SCAR panels we listed in their respective colors, they all were listed as SOLD OUT? Did you sell out of them already or is this just a website SNAFU?

We put the info online last night, with a quantity of zero. So the website will say "sold out". We just put up the pics tonight, confirmed qtys on the shelf and entered them into the system. So as of tonight, they are available and IN STOCK ! :D

Thanks!

You don't have 6" panels in black listed. Does such a thing not exist, or are they "coming soon" to Bravo Company? :)

Thanks.

I got my SCAR rail covers today. Thanks once again to Bravo Company for the usual great service and quick shipping!

I put these on my Noveske middy, and my initial impressions are 100% favorable. These are lightweight, slim, rock-solid and have a great non-slip texture. I think these are going to quickly become my favorite rail covers ever!

I just bought FDE and Black SCAR Panels for my LMT MRP, along with the Insight and Surefire Panels last week. I am very happy with this product and they look great.

Got them at http://www.harristacticalonline.com/category.sc?categoryId=24

I wonder if TD will make the 6" Surefire Panel cover. It seems like they only make the 4".
