Thank you so very much Ted, now my only question is the camo colored accessories? The XTM rail covers, the pistol grip and the stock, custom jobs or is Magpul planning on selling them to us?!?

Travis Haley's MARPAT camo accessories are all custom jobs, man. Sorry. I asked him the same thing in my carbine class and he told me he shipped them off to another company and personally paid to have it all done. I wish I would've asked him who painted them for him and how much it cost him, but I forgot to.
I'd personally love to have the MARPAT accessories, especially the CTR and PMAGs.

This Magpul Ronin thing is boggling my mind.

Where's the Ronin beta-tester thread? And can I just sign-off on the injury liability here or do I need to fax it in?

Anybody have a chance yet to visit the Vltor booth at SHOT?
They promised to have the new Fortis/Bren Ten there.
http://vltor.wordpress.com/2009/11/30/the-eleventh-hour/
Yes, I spent a good deal of time with them today, K.L. Davis had all the info and is a wealth of knowledge.
Multiple pistols were there.
The Bren Ten is cool and all, but they have much more exciting stuff to talk about at SHOT this year.
An ultra-affordable suppressor lineup? ;)

I want a Bren 10 just for the nostalgia factor. That was the first pistol as a kid I remember reading about and wanting.

That was the main failure the first time around..
Thanks you kindly for the information - much appreciated. Did they give any info regrading a release date for the MOE Middy handguards? I'd love to order two sets of those.
The MOE handguards will be available in the summer. They will be made to fit piston uppers.
It might be Nighthawk Custom. Their front page has Chris Casta and Travis Haley using their 1911s, and they do custom camo jobs for rifles. I asked on Travis Haley's facebook where he gets his jobs done, I'll post as soon as I get an answer.

As of this point, I think Troy Industries has the most new products that I've seen from any one manufacturer. Things to look for are a new polymer magazine, new stock, pistol grip, low HK sights, rapid adjust sights, ambi-mag release, ambi-safety, ambi-bolt release, enhanced trigger guard and more.
I'll get pictures up as soon as I'm able, but I figure this is a good place to start with info.
I'm heading out.... I'll post more later.

I *really* like how the Falcon M93 has a conventional castle nut and endplate setup. That doohickey you had to fiddle with on the Magpul M93 was so annoying.
That setup is very, very slick... I see rifle length MOE's in my future.

Who needs a chest rig when you can have a pmag 40 in the well with another 40 in a redi-mag/mod? 80 rounds on your weapon. Kinda makes the couple ounces here and there saved with a T1 negligble, huh?:D

Is that set-up, for lack of a better term, a Dissipator, or does it really have a rifle lenght gas system.
Pretty close to what I want to build.

Pshaw! You just have Pmag envy!
I go back and forth on it. When I first saw the rifle length version, this popped into my head. Longer forends seem to fit the aggressive arm position since they allow you to extend your arm more, especially if you have some lights out there.
Interesting to know if this configuration generated any internal debate in Magpul.
How does it feel in person?

Show pictures tend to suck pretty hard as the lighting is terrible. You can always use a flash, but then you end up with blown out reflections and highlights. Most of the equipment I can get ahold of at a later date, which allows me to do follow up, and get real pictures later on. We are trying to get clean pictures where ever possible.
I'm glad that they made a front sight to match the rear micro...Also the reflex m203 quadrant sights were nice. I sure wish I had the money to be a KAC dealer...:(
sorry stick, but that's just fugly...
Not hurting my feelings any, that particular weapon has a great feel to it. :D
Sadly, its not my upper. :(
I love women, but I am usually not the one taking the booth babe pictures, but since Kevin at AAC asked me to take pictures of the Remington/AAC SHOT show party at the Voodoo Lunge in the Rio hotel, I just can not say no...especially with all the Maxim girls!
This awesome party had two live bands including the world famous mini KISS, great food, free drinks, and beautiful women. This is by far the best SHOT parties I have ever attended in my 6 years experiences. So my 2010 SHOT shot pictorial tour starts with the some eye candies..... Enjoy

What I'm interested in details on is the AFG2... what have they changed (more aggressive texture?)?
Fugly is in the eye of the beholder. Looks like a mini FNFAL in those proportions. In the day, carbines looked fugly, we had no familiarity with them.
Thank you, Stick, for the pictures. Your MOE handguards pic is now my wallpaper. I'm looking forward to seeing more. 150 days to production release!
What I'm interested in details on is the AFG2... what have they changed (more aggressive texture?)?
There is not a new one in their catalog, but someone on TOS said that Travis had one that looked custom stippled.
What I'm interested in details on is the AFG2... what have they changed (more aggressive texture?)?
There is not a new one in their catalog,
Still thinking is the "sketch" that we can see on page 7 in their catalog, and the little piece where the AFG is attached have a custom camo job in Marpat, like the CTR and PMAG of Travis.
I think that might just be concept art that they threw in there, or even created for the catalog. Now that you mention the pattern, I have seen an AFG on someones gun that had the pattern also.
Probably just custom work. I dont think a company with the fanbase that Magpul has would release an item and then an updated version so quickly, especially an injection molded item (need to pay off the mold).
I like the adjustment mechanism on the front sight.
Am I crazy, or has the body of the 300m rear been redone?

the loop where the claw attaches is a triangle shape now, and the finish looks more like the phosphate finish of an AR barrel, so a more durable finish. MS2's finish wears off, but not that big of a deal

The reason I asked is the photo of a release date sheet from the Magpul booth lists an AFG2.
I read [somewhere???] that the AFG2 is like the AFG with no wings so it will fit all rail systems (read: LARUE). I just can't remember where I found that information or I would post a link.

Is it just me or is this years SHOT show a disappointment? Nothing really new to see and the great ACR fiasco.
Its the Bren Ten, look it up if you are interested, there is a lot of information available about it.
Yep its the Bren Ten...Dornaus & Dixon & Col Jeff Cooper dream child
A great idea ...whose timing wasn't quite right...
Now there's quailty control ...mags..ammo...and hopefully spare parts..
I was on the list back then...but fortunately did not have a deposit down..
But this and the Colt Series 70 Commander (lost in divorce court)
Are Baaaaacccckkkkk
And wife #2 is a keeper who likes guns too..
Let me ask you this...Did you go for business or just to see the new stuff for fun? For me since I was taking care of business stuff it wasn't a disappointment. Got alot done but could of been faster had there been less tourists and non industry folks. I was on a mission to find Lapel Pins for my Boss's daughter but that didn't turn out so well...Free schwag here and there. Plus some nice new stuff like the Magpul booth, the KAC Front micro sight, SIG E2 pistols, LWRCI prototype stuff, HK weapons, etc etc.
Nice. I see several new models I am interested in from new lever guns, to the Taurus Judge single shot carbine, to the new Bodyguard and LW 6" .357.
On the Gunblast thread I see numerous exciting new guns. But not necessarily on the tactical side of things. I'd like to be one of those "tourist" visitors one of these years.
Hmmm, the ACR fiasco
Larue failed to produce the highly touted "broken ARMS" display...
...or any new generation tool less mounting system to compete with Bobro
Magpul has a Unimog conversion...
Surefire might actually have some of the excitement they displayed for sale this year, but don't be surprised if otherwise happens. Anyone have a KL9 LED head...?
Not to be a buzz kill, but...:D
It was a damn good time... Thanks for posting all the pics SMG! And thanks to all the other sponsors- Magpul, KAC, Remington, Crye Precision, Leupold, and Maxim!
Mers was there, rocking his sweater vest too.
I think it's been good. On the business side, it's been very good.
One thing I really liked was the "real" gen 4 glock frame.
That made me feel better after S&W told me they weren't making any more threaded-barrel M&P 9mms....
This is my favorite thread of all time!

I've seen him there all three days so far. He's been busy.
I asked a few questions at Shot today. The Magpul Iphone case and handgun DVD will be out in February. Also, the Bushmaster ACR will be out in March (MSRP $2100).
Update: I asked again and they said $2600 MSRP for the Basic and $3000 for the Enhanced. However, someone showed them their FFL and saw the pricing. It's around $2100 for the Basic and $2400 for the Enhanced.
I was looking forward to news about the ACR and the bren ten.
ACR.. Well I think we're all aware of that by now.
Bren.. Vltor had last year's prototypes on display, no new prototypes, and apparently decided to use a no-name distributor with no products to its name. No good news from this camp.

Think of it in these terms. An Aimpoint has no sight radius. If you can see that dot, you're behind the front sight, period.

It would appear that instead of having to align your front post both vertically and horizontally with your rear sight, you just have to center that red dot in the rear aperture.
Eventually somebody will make one of these that is as low profile as this Israeli unit but will be transparent so you can actually place the dot on the target itself. The major benefit being that it would function like an aimpoint and you could focus on your target and dot at the same time.
One of these days!

01-22-10, 03:56
The brits say a PDW weapon has to be 22in or shorter. Hence the 7in-ish barrel, and shortened stock and buffer tube.
Sure.. But with Miami Vice looks, the choice of DA or condition 1, and hopefully higher durability. Since the gun is made for 10mm it shouldn't have durability problems when shooting high powered 9mm like the BHPs apparently have.

and I bet that no one remembered to bring their roophies http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/frontline_01/smilies/smiley_abused.gif
I've got better pictures of the stock, but no time to post them right now. The stock has some features that no other company has, and Troy is going for a very durable stock to outlast everything else in the market. I'll get more information up on it later.
Compared to the last two years, this SHOT is a cornucopia of excitement, at least in the handgun world.
Gen4 Glock is a major event. Perhaps it's just not as visible to folks who don't deal in the LE/mil procurement side of things. But Glock's protestations to the contrary notwithstanding, they've been getting their butts kicked by the M&P in the U.S. and the HK P30 in Europe. The ergonomic improvements are going to propel Glock right up to the top again.
The Smith Bodyguard series is another major buzz point. These are the first mainstream production guns with integral lasers... the first modern foray into a .380 pistol for Smith (after the Sigma .380 debacle)... and Smith's first snubby revolver that wasn't part of the j-frame line.
SIG is keeping its E2 guns locked up behind the counter, but I've brought about 20 people over there to get a hands-on look at the gun, including folks from various LE/mil. A few guys who are currently carrying P229s (and aren't crazy about them) were immediately in love with the E2 version.
A noted authority on all things firearms-related (and an oft-worshipped deity of firearms training here at M4C) was one of the first in a long line of people trying to get their hands on an HK P30S 9mm as soon as it hits the US. HK did an incredible job on the safety lever design, and the P30S will be one of those sleeper hits, I think.
I didn't even realize it, but my friend (and M4C'er) Tom Jones discovered the new Ruger 22/45 which now has removable stocks that are compatible with standard 1911 stocks... now you can get an almost identical feeling grip between your 22/45 trainer and your 1911 carry/duty gun.
Admittedly, most of these changes are evolutionary rather than revolutionary, but the fact is that there are actually a number of different products on the floor this year that people are genuinely excited to see. And buy.
It seems to me that the only people who are whining about the SHOT Show are the ones who only cared about the ACR and are now thrown into a depression tailspin because the Remington/Bushmaster next-gen rifle is going to cost about the same as all of the other next-gen rifles.
Nah, I am waiting for the M Rev iPhone Case.

I'm digging that new stock.
What is the compelling reason for VLTOR to release yet another CZ/Tangfoglio/EAA copy? Is there really anything new and innovative about the Fortis? Please enlighten me if there is........
Does there NEED to be something new or innovative about a 75?
Like 1911s, the 75s have been reproduced by dozens of companies around the globe.
Why?
Because the 75 is a supperior design in every way.
Besides, no one should ever be allowed to ask: "What is the compelling reason for Company X to release yet another Colt 1911 copy?"
Why should it be any different for a new 75 - which is used by more Governments, Militaries, Police and Security agencies than any other pistol in the world, period.
I know its too early to say, especially since i was not at the show but from what ive been reading Troy really set itself apart from the competition at this years show.
They really seemed to have a TON of new and USEFUL products on display.
Im really excited to see more detailed information about their releases!
Way Way Off Topic, but what is that thing on her scope? Kind of looks like a zip-tie.
Its called a "cat tail" and allows an almost instant power change from 0X (useful for close quarters/reaction to an ambush) to 3 or 4X. I.e. - speed.
It only takes an instant to get killed in combat. The instant saved by such a device could be the instant that saves your life. Speed AND accuracy count. Combat is not a "slow fire event."
While the ACR was a bit of a buzzkil, there are other areas of the shooting world that saw a lot of improvement. The last few years have been very AR and carbine centric in terms of major advancements and introduction of new products. This year was a little off that pace, so it seems like there is little to no innovation. But LMT, LaRue, and LWRC have new 7.62 designs that are either shipping or will be introduced in the next year.
Vltor has their new value priced suppressor that may bring more people into the NFA world.
Todd covered the handgun stuff well without even mentioning the Bren-Ten/Fortis or Kel-Tecs .22 magnum.
Anyone notice that there are more options than ever for .22s? Lots of MP5 and AR variants that allow us to shoot indoors and for much less cost.
And the optics! It's been a major year in terms of optics, but not all of it is AR focused so it may pass most of us by. But the number of quality optics introduced this year with market driven features is nothing short of amazing. Names like Vortex, Leupold, S&B, and Bushnell have either introduced amazing new products, or brought features and capabilities normally found in the high end to users with more modest budgets. If you use magnified optics, SHOT 2010 has got to be one of the best on record.
It may have been slower than usual in terms of AR stuff, but there was plenty of other cool stuff introduced.
Anyone seen any good pics of the safety lever on the P30S? Same as the HK45?
Looks like HK did a nice job on the safety lever. Its looks slightly different than the HK45 lever but I am sure it feels and works great.
http://www.lundestudio.com/2010SHOTShow/Day3/2010shotshow-01212010-14.jpg
http://www.lundestudio.com/2010SHOTShow/Day3/2010shotshow-01212010-13.jpg
I can't find one picture online of a cat tail installed on a variable power scope in a combat theatre. Perhaps someone more gifted with search foo will.
My perception is that variable power scopes are the exception, not the rule on issued firearms. Speed is important in combat - so take the shot with what you have, most of which are fixed power if at all.
If you have a variable power, like as not, you have the time. And if you have a variable power set on high in a close combat situation, your sniper rifle is the least of your problems.
I don't see cat tails as field equipment ( literally, where are they? ) but as range competition enhancements.
NSN on any cat tails issued would be good evidence.
Anyone disappointed by the price of the ACR set themselves up for failure. As said, it's a next gen rifle, and they ALL have been expensive.
What caused the buzzkill is that they hoped to buy a "cooler that yours" new ego enhancer at a dirt cheap price. Well, didn't we just go through that with the LCP? Demand out of hand with production brought out a lot of discontent.
Really, a $1500 ACR would have generated such a huge backlog 95% of the market would have waited more than 6 months to get one shipped. Then there would be complaints about that, obscene pricing, guns on auctions and shows available but "I'm NOT paying that," and "I DID and I got mine. Neener Neener." We are now spared all that.
Since I haven't seen Robinsons or SCARs except online, I don't expect much of any of them until after a COTS trial. Even then, who knows.
SHOT was an ACR disaster? No, someone under thirty just got disappointed.
"Life is full of disappointment. Get used to it." - the DPR.
For now, I'm keeping an open mind about the stock and grip. What little I can see from a video doesn't help. The pic posted is better.
I look forward to Stick's photos as they will be visual candy and are always the best.
The "sniper" profile of the stock heel is different. And the AK look to the grip makes me think it will be a smaller profile than even the A1, which I would prefer. If that's what Troy did, it's a good idea, as huge meatbuster grips have certainly saturated that end of the market. Small grips are much more likely to be a good export on a properly proportioned weapon for foreign sales.
The world is not supersized.
It would be ironic that an AK style grip could work better on an AR than what we think.
Lone Wolf is making a replacement Gen 4 style grip for Glocks. Does that offer a Gen 1 owner a hope for an affordable upgrade? Lots of old Glock owners want to know.
Magpul has a foldup carbine? Are we missing something here?
Multi purpose optics are common now - light, laser, etc. One four inch rail can do it all. Whatcha gonna do with the other 44" on that handguard?

The 1-6 or 8 scopes, with Leupold stepping up it seems. Look at how many ffp scopes there are now! Used to be S&B and USO and now you can get one at almost any price point.

I thought it was about the same as any other year. Quite a few good products from the typical guys. The ACR price didn't really surprise me. With quality AR's in the $1K range, thousands of them being made, and every drop of efficiency being squeezed from manufacturing, there is no way they are going to be getting that kind of pricing from the ACR for many years to come. The huge investment in engineering and tooling will take a while to pay back.
Gen4 Glock is a major event. Perhaps it's just not as visible to folks who don't deal in the LE/mil procurement side of things. It is a major event because they finally started to listen to the marketplace. There were a couple things I did not like about the Glock and the grip was only one of them. My feeling is that the M&P and HK will continue to take away business from them.
Most of the new stuff is up on Troy's Online store. I did not see the the Claymore (Claemore?) muzzle brake.
That said, the quality of pictures being posted by Stickman far exceed what you'll get on Troy's site.
I saw a pick on TOS that indicates Smith and Wesson has a new VTAC carbine with a lot of these items on it.

Has anyone played with that MOE+ grip? Is it similar to the Hogue overmold stuff?
There are quite a few things that interest me coming out in 2010 from Magpul. If the MOE+ overmold is like Hogue's then that would be just one more "gotta have" item for me.
-B
Are they in use by spec ops? Only they know.
Many of the arguments ou repeat were made against the use of dot sights on carbines in combat. Or against magazine capacity greater than 5. Or 8. Or 20.
Luckily, the boots on the ground have proven to be not so closed-minded to inovation.
Magpul has a foldup carbine? Are we missing something here?
You may have seen the prototype earlier - it's a kit where you bring your own glock and Magpul brings the polymer. It is still only a prototype, the one in the pictures is an airsoft version. You can see the PTS logo on the side.
At least they didn't farm it out to Bowel Movement. In that case maybe most people would end up opting for the Taiwan airsoft version.:p
Having recently started saving for a SA VZ-58, I have to be excited about Czechpoint putting one out in 5.56 now. Don't know if I'll opt for that or not, but it might at least lead to wider availability of all things VZ, which would be nice. Also, CZ Dan Wesson has some sweet looking additions to their 1911 line, even if they did discontinue my fave the CBOB.

In reviewing the internet database on the Bren 10, again, just another CZ/EAA. Tangfolgio clone. If VLTOR will be manufacturing the complete pistol, OK, good luck competing in the market. It it's just another Charles Daly type buy, rename, and then re-sell, item, what's the point?

Im really excited to see more detailed information about their releases!
I believe Troy released more new items than anyone else in the AR15 community this year.
I look forward to Stick's photos as they will be visual candy and are always the best.
A little over 700 pictures, but some of those were of the race. There is going to be a lot of follow up on new gear this year, so initial images should be replaced by the typical shots that I do as equipment rolls in and goes into review status.
Micro front Sight is $124.50 retail.

CZ best platform???........many Glock owners may disagree :p
The Bren 10 has a nitch market of people who will buy it just because of the history associated with it. Its not just another CZ. even if it were just another CZ I am sure they will still do fine knowing Vltor's outstanding quality control.

The three most interesting to me are the ambi controls (http://store.troyind.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=ambi), though the ambi bolt just looks like a BAD clone. Mag release looks cool.

Any ideas on pricing and availability for those Isreali sights?
I have a Glock 19 those might work well on.
Kevin is there any sort of up position lock mechanism on that sight?

Looks like 90.00 for the fibre optics and 120ish for the tritium.

Night Life At SHOT Starts With A Bang...A Big Bang
Editor's Note: Very little reporting is ever done on the events outside the hours of SHOT Show. As we ring down the curtain on SHOT 2010 (and we're all ready, I promise) Dealer Wire editor Paul Erhardt takes a look at one of the hot ticket events of this year's show.
Nightly receptions are a staple of any good convention. And the best events...well let's just say there are many that would give up their first born for an invite.
When Advanced Armament Corporation (AAC) announces their Big Bang party for the 2011 show, there will be people ready to offer their first, second and third born children just to be considered for an invite.
What's the Big Bang you ask? It's only the best party at this year's SHOT.
Each year the SHOT Show reception schedule kicks off with the State of the Industry Banquet and this year that event was sold out, partly due to comedian and commentator Dennis Miller's appearance as the evening's entertainment. And this is usually a stellar event.
But it was the Big Bang party hosted by AAC and its Silent Army (Remington, Magpul, Leupold, Maxim and others) at the famous VooDoo Lounge atop the Rio Hotel & Casino that generated all the buzz.
AAC is known for its hip, counter-culture branding that garners legions of rabid, tattooed fans willing to do most anything to promote their favorite brand, including getting one of the company's many logos tattooed on their body.
http://www.theoutdoorwire.com/image_archive/2014856.jpg
Mini-Kiss; Maxi-Party
So it was no surprise that the Big Bang featured scantily clad dancers gyrating on side stages, throngs of Maxim models in tight babydoll tees and a KISS cover band made up of midgets billing themselves as Mini KISS. Oh, and of course there were plenty of complimentary drink tickets.
Even the list of attendees ran contrary to the normal SHOT Show events. There were coat-and-tie executives, presumably from Cerberus Capital, the new owners of AAC and a handful of other prominent firearms companies. There were silencer community insiders. And there were so many tier one operators in the crowd that taking over Vegas from the rooftop patio with its panoramic view of the city was a distinct possibility.
So how did all this come together?
http://www.theoutdoorwire.com/image_archive/2014858.jpg
Well one AAC exec explained to me that the entire event was the brain child of AAC's President and CEO, Kevin Brittingham. Brittingham is AAC's "generalissimo of cool" who leads a devoted staff and injects an overly healthy dose of fun into everything AAC does.
This year's Big Bang was nothing but fun and an incredible kickoff event for SHOT Show. Judging by the crowd's response Tuesday night, I can guarantee that the 2011 Big Bang will be bigger, better and definitely cooler than anything else that SHOT Show has to offer.
So start planning your campaign of groveling, pleading and begging to get your invite, because if your job title doesn't include the word "seal" or "delta" in it, or you aren't one the silencer industry insiders, you're probably what we affectionately term S.O.L. - and if you don't know what that means then you're probably going to be going elsewhere on opening night.
For my part, a very special thanks to a really great friend who hooked me up with an invite. If you need me to mow the lawn, wash the car, babysit the little one or just simply wait on you hand and foot, just let me know. I'll be attending the 2011 SHOT Show and will be free opening night....hint, hint.
- Paul Erhardt
I've got better pictures of the stock, but no time to post them right now. The stock has some features that no other company has, and Troy is going for a very durable stock to outlast everything else in the market. I'll get more information up on it later.
I like this stock...like a hardened Sully stock....just at first glance..
Look forward to "Stick Pics"

maybe you could get him an invite next year if he's back from A-stan eh?

That stock looks hideous, but I really like what it has to offer. I hope we get some pics of it soon. I'm curious about the grip as well.

the new smiths are quite nice and was a good party to boot.
the acr was flop no thanks yes the bushy iditos couldnt break the gun down and slammed magpul all day everytime they were pressed why they changed it saying it was garbage when they got it from magpul....
as for the Navy going to the HK Blah

I'm not sure how much help Glock needs, they pretty much own the market.

I can't find one picture online of a cat tail installed on a variable power scope in a combat theatre.
I don't know about pictures, but I'm pretty sure that one of the members here(IraqGunz if my memory serves me,) had a few sent over to outfit his company's DDM rifles.
You must not have won the P30 that HK gave away on Thursday. :D
Ouch!
Tell me about it. Deployed last year and missed it. I had tickets this year to spend a whole week in Vegas with a buddy. Had to cancel my tickets on Thursday when they finally told me I was going TDY to Campbell for three weeks starting tomorrow.
Constant disappointment.
I hear ya brother
Good to see Steve release a bunch of new exciting stuff. I like the concept and execution of the stock. It vaguely reminds me of my Sully and does look durable, streamlined and organic with no sharp protrusions or edges, with a large internal storage capacity, all in a form follows function and utilitarian kind of way. No gaps for facial hair to get stuck in, no exposed latches to get hung up. Looks are subjective.
This pistol grip looks interesting, will have to try it.
Pretty ballsy for Troy to enter the polymer magazine market. The mags do have some unique and interesting spins on features like the scale texture and integrated pull tab. The proof will be in their reliability and durability when compared against the benchmark of Magpul.
I can't wait to get that ambi safety selector, again it's extremely well thought out.

I was hoping Benelli would unveil a new tactical pump shotgun a little more "normal" looking than the Super Nova (I own a SNT). Something that would look similar to the M4 except pump and in the $500 - $700 range.

No lock up, just spring loaded detents that hold it up. Since the Military has never asked us to make a lock up unit, we have not.

GLOCKMASTER

My only complaint and disappointment was the layout of the floor. The LE/Mil displays were to spread out. Heck the Remington LE booth was all alone in the middle of a outdoor hunting section. I really felt for the LE/Mil dealers that were located down stairs and away from everything.
Yeah, it actually says NO aperture window sight option, so I guess that's something they decided to do away with. Glad mine has it. :)
What does that mean?
The LaRue SPR mount on the SCARH is installed backwards.
One thing the SCAR and ACR share in common is that they sure look bulky, heavy and unwieldy.

The LaRue SPR mount on the SCARH is installed backwards.
One thing the SCAR and ACR share in common is that they sure look bulky, heavy and unwieldy.
I know some people are doing this to get the levers on the right side of the gun so the left side is slicker. The mount has no elevation built in so nothing is really backwards. I've mounted LaRue SPR-E mounts this way for customers with M1A in a SAGE chassis.
I think the show was good. I loved the ACR. I did not like the price. But i Know it was going to be around 2500 to 3000. The scar goes for 2500. :)
I think leupolds new bow-mounted rangefinder was the best new product. can wait to get one for my bow.
Cool, springs work. Good job on the pricing too.
whats with the finger on the trig? i'm not comfortable with this.
Having RO'd her at matches, I can tell you she has excellent safety skills. To me it looks like the tip of her fingernail is resting on the trigger guard. In competition we tend against the straight finger outside the trigger guard. Too slow to get on the trigger. So the finger curls inward with the tip resting on the guard rather than the pad.
Try it and you'll find the finger gets correct positioning on the trigger more readily with less tendency to slap.
She is WAY better looking in person. Pics do not do her justice.

Nah, the way I see it is that S&W is still trying to catch up to GLOCK in the center fire semi-auto handgun genre. GLOCK has several NATO issued side arms, I have never heard of any military adopting the M&P as a side arm to date. The Sigma failed and got them sued, the M&P is their latest attempt to capture the market. They are gaining more momentum however.
So what was pulled on Bill Wilson?
In retrospect...I am most looking forward to the Daniel Defense M4V3 (their mid-legnth debut) out of this year's SHOT offerings.

Thanks for the links DivDoc.
Another benefit of having a off-trigger finger position other than straight along the frame is that in a weapons retention situation you're less likely to have your index finger get hurt.
Can't wait for the ambi-mag release to come. Projected price is a good bit less than current offferings. The few that there are. Haha I already started badgering them for one.

The salesman in the Troy video sounds like a mob guy at the start of teh video.
Love to see a video of the install of the screwless ambi safety. Nice that the strong side is a bit shorter for less chaffing of the trigger finger.
Hopefully one of these BAD type levers will work on the AR10s.
Like to see more about the claymore MB. Like a poor man's Costa Brake? Does gas bleed out the sides, or just the end?
Controls, mag, rail and furniture - get a spokesman with a beard and you're in the game.
Maybe a bit mall-ninja, but a battle chasis for the M1 Carbine like the ones for the M14 would be interesting.

That would be awesome. Hell, they went to the trouble of making one for a mini-14 (), so I can't see why a carbine on would be that ridiculous.
