Mounting Optics on a Benelli SuperNova

Has anyone had the opportunity to mount a RDS on a Benelli SuperNova?

I don't think it's possible to drill the receiver and install a Picatinny rail.

Any options, recommendations, that work, and won't lose zero?

This could save me from buying another shotty for a minute, and keep my focus on my main battle blasters for a while.

If you can find a gunsmith that knows what he is doing you can get good results from a drill and tap and that is the way I would go. Most of the Nova's come with the holes pre drilled now. I tried the saddle mount route on mine about two years back and immediately took it off. Properly cleaning a Nova requires pulling the trigger group and a saddle mount will require rezeroing your red dot.
