I am curious if anyone has considered mounting a Vltor VST clamp-on front sight directly in-front of the gas-block on a LWRC M6A2 upper? Will it cause any access issues to the piston mechanism?
I am considering picking up a LWRC M6A2 upper, and want to stick with the Surefire X300 mounted in the 12 o'clock position, But I have fired one with a rail mounted Troy front sight mounted behind the X300, and it shortens up the sight radius more than I want.
I am wondering if this is set-up is a viable option for the M6A2 upper. I am aware that the Vltor VST wont be a functional gasblock, and will be useable as a front sight only.
