I have shot plenty of XM193 and SS109 M855 over the years, but I have a chance to get decent pile of Hornady TAP 60 gr ammo. I have never fired any of the ballistic tip ammo before in the AR15/M4 platform. Any feeding problems seen before with ballistic tip ammo?

Thanks,

I have never had any problems, nor have I heard of any

Ballistic tip ammo should function as reliably and smoothly as any other type of bullet, and even better than most since there's no soft tip or HP to drag on things...
I've not used the Hornady's, but I've shot quite a few Nosler BT's, and never have had a problem.

It'll feed fine. I load 60 gr. Hornady V-Max bullets over 26 grs. of Win 748 to feed a Colt HBAR Elite. It's a tack-driver with that bullet. The 24 inch barrel/load combo gives 3060 ft/sec. muzzle velocity which is about equal to the loading books I use for reference.

I am unsure what bullet factory Hornady 60 gr. TAP uses, but it could very well be the red-tipped V-Max.

Never any problem with Hornady V-Max in mine.
