Trigger Reset of 2 stage trigger

Dear All,

I'd like to upgrade the trigger on the AR I'm going to use in a 3 gun match. I'm new to this kind of event, but very experienced in IDPA. So the Course of fire wont be entirely new.

With a 2 stage match trigger, when does it reset? Right at the point where the 1st stage is complete, or is the reset longer or shorter?

I ask because I've come to love the short reset of my Glock in IDPA events and would rther keep the reset as short as possible.

Or would I be better off with a Timney or McCormac single stage?

Stay away from a Jewell. Good for HP but is has a long reset. Look at the sticky on triggers in the custom build forum.
