For those that haven't seen this folding front sight here are a couple of pics. This is a new build and I haven't had it out to the range yet but here are my initial impressions of the #41-B-L.

The sight is constructed of mostly steel. I'm not sure if the steel parts are forged. The surface is very smooth and uniform leading me to think that they may be MIM. The telescoping arm that forms the rear of the triangle appears to be aluminum. The fit between all parts is excellent. The sight uses a standard A2 post. The version I bought clamps on to the barrel with socket head hex bolts.

When deployed the sight offers the familiar silhouette of a standard fixed USGI front sight. I used a dead blow hammer to see if I could accidentally close the sight. The sight remained fully deployed despite several firm whacks on the front, rear, top and sides of the sight.

There is a distinct feeling of quality when actuating the sight. To deploy simply raise the sight until it locks. To fold the sight you only need to press firmly on the grooved portion at the top of telescoping arm.

There also is a pin-on version and a clamp-on version without a bayonet lug. Included with the sight is a spacer (washer) to aide in lining up the gas port if you are not using a fore end cap.

I am, so far, pleased with this purchase. The price was competitive with front sights of similar quality.
