I stopped by a local gun store today and they had at least a hundred of these. Selling them for $29.95 each!

Rest assured I don't spend money at that store unless I have to...

Thanks for heads up.

Hopefully they will get caught up soon so they can make some more 20 rounders.
Thanks for the tip.

Whats up with the CS spring? I remember somewhere, someone saying they rust pretty easy. Any truth to that?

Chrome silicone springs develop a self limiting surface rust. It does not effect function and in my experience is so light that you can easily wipe it away. Everything else I've read about the CS springs has them as being superior to stainless. I think it's safe to say that the feedlips will go tits up before the CS spring does.

Grant got me my recent order of mags in no time at all...I highly recommend going through him.

Someone, and I thought it was someone here, posted a write-up with the pertinents on why chrome-silicone springs weren't all created equal. There were differences worth noting and some are better than others. Perhaps someone still has that info.

When I've wanted/needed a gucci spring, I've used the SAW extended life "red spring." http://www.specializedarmament.com/content/skins/flat/popup_issue_96.html

Otherwise, it's the original 30rd SS for me.

Ordered 2/6, received 2/11. Good discount for quantities 25+. Excellent results with Brownells, as always.

Depends on the grade (quality) of the CS springs. I run CS buffer and mag springs in my weapons and they do not rust.

Any clue as to which mag mfgrs use the good CS? I'm with Skintop on the ss mag springs. Had a case of Cproducts mags with the cs, and they rusted into oblivion. Must not have been the good cs?

I would like to say that Brownells does, but I cannot say for sure.

The only one I am sure about is ours and the ones that come in Tango Down's new mag.

FWIW- I think that these are a steal with the Magpul follower.
Apologies for the hijack.
