Went and got my permit this morning at the DPS headquarters. Went to the shop after work and payed the last bit of cash and got to take it home. Now cant wait to take it to the range to shoot it. Already took it apart and put it back together.

Congrats on your permit and the 1911 - let us know how it shoots for you.
Shot 3 mags this sunday through it only 230gr FMJ and it shoot's well didnt shoot any targets just out in the field for a function test. Hoping to go to an indoor range this week and shoot a bit. I just got a BLack Hawk Serpa holster for it and i like it i tweaked it a bit and draws quite fast.
