Guys, can I get your thoughts, suggestions on rear BUIS for a flat top upper to mate up with an F marked front sight? Just wanting something simple like a removable carry handle or the LMT rear sight. I only plan to general plink and punch paper with the gun, prob from 50-200 yards. Maybe end up mounting an Aimpoint in the future, who knows. Can you use an Aimpoint and leave the LMT rear BUIS in place or does it interfere with sight picture?

If you want simple then check out a LaRue.

A BCM carry handle is what I went with. Very Nice.... and priced cheaper than the LMT BUIS.

I run a GG&G A2 folding BUIS with my EOTech. I prefer the rear sight down when I'm using the EOtech, but I can get by with it up. If you do plan on getting an Aimpoint later on, I would not get a carry handle. Get a simple fixed sight.

You may want to check out this thread of reticle pictures over at AR15.com to give you some ideas, but the only way to know for sure is to try the setup you want out on a rifle: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=18&t=264481

A cut down carry handle makes for a great BUIS.

It works well with a Mk18 mod0

+1 on the GG&G. I've got one on my Colt, and it sits nice and low and fits under the back of my ACOG when not in use.

I'll give another +1 on the LMT, LaRue also seems like a solid choice.

Owning both, I prefer the LaRue unit. The LMT is a good unit, but frankly most people will have absolutely no need for the full M-16 sight functionality. The LaRue is lighter, more compact, and you don't have that giant knob sticking out there.

Though it has been replaced by a troy/ACOG, I really liked my larue which I used behind an Aimpoint. If you like cranking on knobs Then I would use a standard carry handle or a cut down version. But I find that I seldom adjust any of mine.

I have the 360 series rear sight from Brownells, works great.

I prefer the LaRue BUIS with a RDS and the Troy for use with a magnified optic where I am not co-witnessing.
