Thank you for posting a very neat link! I am sort of surprised to not see a single New Hampshire project...

Wow...Illinois has alot of projects. Big surprise.

Not to mention California getting 23.1 billion all by itself.

Interesting.
Shovel ready projects to me seems to mean "We would relly like to do this and we will pay for the planning in hopes to railroad it through"

What a shocker. None of the projects slated for my home state occur in areas that consistently elect Republicans. Lots of hand outs in areas that create no wealth or where commerce occurs. Just what exactly is being stimulated here, other than wealth redistribution?

Some great ones in California. These are going to save us from depression.

Sidewalk rehabilitation in Alameda: $3,750,000

Rehabilitate skateboard park in Alameda: $100,000

Anaheim Convention Center Expansion: $220,000,000:eek:

Install traffic signals at three locations in Alameda: $1,250,000

Texas wasn't much better.

Aye, when I was reviewing the thing I could imagine the Monty Python "Spam" skit, but with them just repeating Pork, Pork, Pork...

Akron & Cincinnati seem to have scored big... go figure.

Not a cent for Warren County though. :p

Tell ya what, if you really want to give yourself an aneurysm - read through some of the comments there.

We're going to need another couple of metric tons of bleach for the gene pool.

Yeah, reading through Ohio, I was curious if all of it pork was hitting there, as it took me two + pages to get through their cut.

Pelosi made sure her bases were covered

edit:
the more i read, the more idiotic and pork barrel many of those projects are. In michigan they are actually helping to fund the cost of a new HQ for a private insurance company ($5 million).

The fun part is that, there is still about 8-9% (IIRC) of the funds that are ot listed in these type of breakdowns.

Zero's press sec'y stated that it was rounding issues. 9% of 3/4 of a trillion $$$ is a shit pot load of money, that I do not think you will lose in rounding errors!

Cidra, PR

New Energy Efficiency Industrial Zones 100 Acres
$17,500,000,000.00 - 1628 jobs - Energy Program

What the hell man!!! That is Billion with a capital B in a country that we just help out. One more thing, 17.5 Billion and it only creates 1628 jobs? How much are they going to pay people. No offense meant to anyone on here who may be from PR but even my Puerto Rican friend of many years, said that this is BS.

Besides the great amount jobs that will be created for government bureaucrats just
watching this crap and pushing papers; I fear there will be a high number of illegals put on contractor payrolls. Without enforcement and strong penalties, many of the jobs may not get to Americans. And that is if you believe in this socialist BS in the first place. After all, the only thing that saved this country from the wasteful spending of the TBA and other programs in the 1930s, was a world war....oh but we are supposed to believe FDR was a great hero of the depression....

We won't need any government money once we have that new toll booth on 93 south.

And in the stimulus they got rid of the E-Ready or whatever it was called instant employment eligibility checks so yes that is their goal to hire the illegals with this money (disclaimer: This is what the commentator on the radio said about the instant check thing being done away with -- I did not read the 1100 page bill myself -- which makes me like 99% if not 100% of Congressmen and Senators)

Did they ever put a toll booth at the Mass border on 3 in Nashua? They were talking about it when I moved away in 2002.

City of Woonsocket, RI

Construction of a new Fire Department Headquarters, including a City Hall annex for certain critical municipal services (police, telecommunications, administration) for $30 mil.

This is amid the threats of laying off 60 firefighters and 40 officers. F that, I'd rather just keep my job:mad:
