It seems as if this round was once the current rage but has now taken a back seat to the Gold Dot. In my personal BUG, S&W 36, I carry the Gold Dot as opposed to the 110grn because ammo is issued by dept. Just curious if this round has fallen out of favor due to cost. The testing I had viewed appeared to give adaquate performance but, not as much to justify the increase in terminal ballistics vs cost per round from a LEO cost analysis perspective. Just curious on the status of this round.
thank you for your time
It is a great round; I have them in my J-frame: https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=25310&page=2
Is the felt recoil of the Corbon 110 gr DPX less than that of Gold Dot 135 gr round in a .38 J-frame?
Thanks.

in my opinion with my 36 with aftermarket houge synthetic stock, it is less
Is the 110gr. DPX actually +P,or standard pressure.I'm thinking for use in an older Mod.37 airweight.

+P. Advertised muzzle velocity from a J-frame is 1050 fps. It appears that some early packaging didn't advertise that it was +P.
Thanks for the info.I like the DPX's I've tried, but I guess I better stick with something milder for this older airweight.:)

You're welcome. It might be time to upgrade that old M37 to something +P-friendly...
