Just wondering what people are seeing for selling prices for new Smith & Wesson M&P 15T in these post-Obama times? A local shop can order one for $1,300 new, but said it will take 2-3 months. Thoughts?

That's not too bad. Before the election I was seeing them go for between $1,150 and $1,250, depending on the store. Check out Grant's (G&R Tactical) dealer thread on this forum: https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=4782

When I ordered my M&P15 from Vance Outdoors, they had the 15T's for $1300.

Troy FF tube, No sights(store removed), Flattop A3 rec and 12% unemployment locally. Yes, it is a M&P 15T. This is the same store that has Century GP75 AK's for 450, WASR-10's for 399 Century L1A1's for 699 and PTR91's for 799.

Placing a rifle for sale locally over 1K assures it sill stay on the shelf. 404 panic buying not found in Unemployment Hell.

Same store has 7.62X39 for $25.00/100, .223 for 42/100. I am stopping there today for components. I'll verify price again.

OK, G&R sells the Troy BUIS for $249 so that brings it up to $1,099 (850+249), but not too far off the $1,150 I was seeing here last spring. But it is still a good price cosidering what others are charging now and the fact that S&W, I believe, had a price increase for 2009.

And just got back. 1099+Tax is the price as of today, one left in stock. :D They raised prices about 10-25% across the board on everything. Salesman said the rifles are made NY complaint in-house and not shipped from S/W that way.(Pinned Flashhider and stock, Bayo lug removed)

On a side note, no primer shortage to be found(guy was unloading CCI and Winchester cases), no powder shortage to be found, but prices are slowly climbing(22.50 for 1Lb of Varget) and no shortage of .223 projectiles or .45 projectiles. LOADED .45 ammo is 27.50/box

So now it is $1,099 + $249 for the Troy Buis, or a comparable total of $1,348 - not that great, IMO.

This is with OUT sights, I should have clarified that. "Optics Ready" in the parlance they are using. Yes, the prices are not that great, considering you have a neutered rifle. The AK prices also went up roughly 20%. The prices from my earlier post were as of Jan 15th or so, the last time I was in there. Now I remember why I don't shop there for firearms.;)

Actually, it was an ORC model, not the OR model. The ORC is the "compliant" model with no flash hider and a 5 rnd. magazine.

And . . . that price was what they claim the last one sold for.

Plus, it is sold and they are out of stock.

Bought mine for 1300 even, still brand new in the unopened box. But I bought it from an individual. This was in December.

Would this local police supply spot be "Lou's", by any chance? ;)

You've obviously been there and asked. Needless to say, I buy ALL my guns about 2 miles west at Florida Gun Center...AND I can shoot them there right afterward...as was the case this weekend, when I grabbed a new Smithy 442. :D

The M&P 15T's were $1300 last year. New ones came out at $1500 off the rack (NH). Bushy OR's and Olyarms tacticals are running about $1000 - 1100. Bushy A3 at $1200.
