Yep, that's where I got mine. It arrived yesterday and the wife will be picking it up this A.M.

If you want me to test fire it, don't hesitate to ask!

Are you going to Paint your DD?

mark,

Not sure yet. I may keep the gun as is for "investment" reasons or who knows. Then again by the time I get home, they may have banned painting "assault rifles" since it makes them more stealthy. ;)

Mark,

My wife picked up the carbine today at SGC and she said that all the people who were walking by stopped to look at it and they all were asking if they were selling them. Since she joined up there was also no transfer fee. My wife who is not a real big gun person said it was impressive.

Here's a pic of the new DD carbine. I am curious though as to why the castle nut is not staked. Does this particular attachment not need it? Anyone else have one that isn't staked?

Mine was only staked on the right side as well.

Same here, staking is on the right hand side.

Mine isn't taked on either side. Guess it slipped through. Everything was good to go. My wife sent pics of the BCG and it was staked.

That's very disappointing. :(

That's very disappointing. :(

Why? Just stake it an move on.

Gunz? Your silencer came in the AAC CAN?

That's weird. My 08 came in the box, my 07 came in the tube/can.

Why?

Shows a lack of QC. If I'm spending $1,500+, I'd like to think I wouldn't have to fix it myself. Just my opinion.

It takes 5 seconds to stake this part.

Jesus some people can't be pleased no matter what.

As was stated above take the 5 seconds and do it yourself.

mark,

Yeah, it came in that cool can that will double as a pen/ pencil holder when I get back. As for the castle nut not being staked, shit happens. Every single company has some glitches so I will stake it when I get home, if I decide to keep it. Now, had the BCG not been properly stake, the castle nut, and other stuff then that would be a different story. I did email them to let them know and when I get a response I'll post it. When my wife gets excited about a gun (and she isn't a gun person per se) then that says something. Look for an exhaustive test to be conducted sometime in 2009.
