Due to the lack of available pistol ammo out there these days, Jeff and I have agreed to modify this 3-day course to delete the 1-day "shooting on the move" proficiency module and replace it with Combative Edged Weapons (CEW) for the 3rd day of this course. Round count required will be reduced to 1,500 rds... CEW description below:

The Combative Edged Weapons (CEW) is a 1-day course that will introduce the combative fundamentals for the tactical employment of an edged weapon during lethal confrontations. Topics covered include; introduction to the folding knife, safety & training consideration, general legal considerations, choosing a folding knife, carrying, drawing & deploying a folding knife, various grips, basic targeting, introduction to feeder/receiver mindset and TRICON basic 4 count template. Practical evolutions will include the TRICON basic 4 count template from deployed, draw and carry mode. Training partner evolutions will include TRICON basic 4 count template versus static and active role players. The combination of static and active exercises will provide the opportunity to develop the TTP necessary to address the challenges of close quarter lethal confrontations. The final training exercise will test their skills as they conduct scenarios versus an active opponent.

Upon completion of this course of instruction, the student will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the course material through verbal discussion and/or practical exercises of the following tactics, techniques and procedures:

* Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of the folding knife.
* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of safety and training considerations.
