So, who's running the VIS? If you do or have knowledge on the system, please post some pics and reviews. I'm highly interested in the 10" version for a new build.

Thanks in advance!

If you are looking for an almost bombproof complete upper, I can't think of a better way to go. The detractors will point out that it costs more, and is heavier than a standard upper configuration. To me, that is outweighed by the benefits of what the VIS brings to the table, but its all a matter of what you are looking to do with it.

I'm waiting on a 10" VIS to start a build of my own. :)

As for pictures, I do have a few of those....

Awesome rifle stickman! Which upper is that, the 12"? What is the overall length with the kx3? SBR or not? Love the set up.

silver05,

I believe that is the 10" VIS with 10.5" barrel.

Stickman, As always--awesome! I've been throwing around various ideas for a build and this appears to be my best option.

I need one of these puppies! It does give you alot more choices in the barrel dept.

Those Magpul lower receivers look terrible! Obviously most others on this site agree with me due to the fact that you don't see them on their rifles. Since I'm a nice guy I'll buy them from you and you can purchase some new lower receivers of your choice.

I love mine. It's going to get a serious workout at Kyle's class.

It appears there would be no problem having the Vltor block pinned and installed with a 10" VIS? It looks like there's room to install the GB pin afterwards.

Righto, still looking for the 10 though, I'm sure it can be done. Good thing I pull triggers better that working on them.

If I had thought more about it at the time I purchased, I'd probably want the 10" as well.

Put the barrel nut on the barrel, install the gas block, pin it and the gas tube. Then install the entire assembly into the VIS.

the gas tube doesn't go through the barrel nut so you can do just like Todd.K said

That makes it easier, I'm used to the standard designs in that regard.

Thanks!
