I rejoined the NRA a few months ago after letting my membership laps. I opted out of any magazines since I would like for the money I gave to go to lobbying and not printing magazines. Since rejoining I get phone calls nightly for "surveys" as well as regular junk mail. All of this in designed to rake in more contributions but I'm afraid that the regular membership dues are being burned up on paying telemarketing firms and for printing junk mail. How about they use it to support shooting programs, supporting pro-2nd amend candidates, and lobbying?

As a result of the thread here last week. I upped my membership from annual to Lifetime. When they asked for a phone #, I said "unlisted". ;)

I dont ever recall getting a phone call(despite listing it).

You can opt out of the mailings.

They obviously make more than they spend on the junk mail or they wouldnt do it.
