i need some suggestions on a really good clean and lube video. i'm very new to AR's and just got my first RRA elite a4 in last week. i took her out this past weekend and had a blast, but i'm unsure how to clean and lube properly. i have a buddy that doesn't live here, and he says run it as dry as i can. i've read a couple of things online, but they seem to conflict in certain areas. i've read the article on this forum, but there's no pictures. so basically, i'd feel alot more comfortable... plus i think i might learn a few things, if there was a highly recommend video out there that i could buy and watch. i'm a glock guy, so i'm used to very little lube and when i went to clean and lube the AR today... it was hard for me, lol. i didn't feel comfortable just putting lube on stuff :) thanks for any help.

If you pick up the latest SWAT magaze, Pat rogers has a very detailed article on this very subject.

If you pick up the latest SWAT magazine, Pat Rogers has a very detailed article on this very subject.

It covers the topic more thoroughly than the post here. Wait until your wife/SO hits menopause. You will learn to appreciate lube. Your carbine needs it now.:)

that's the article i was referencing in the first post. it's a good article if you already know about the AR's, but i'm interested in something that will elaborate with at least pictures and in depth suggestions on cleaning techniques, etc... thanks again.

Have you been to the Otis website: http://www.otisgun.com/cgistore/store.cgi?page=/new/fhowto.html&setup=1&cart_id= This is a short clip on how to clean the M16 rifle using the Otis system. Although not the most elaborate demonstration, it may help you out somewhat. Click on the video clip link on the left of the page.
