You cannot put the Magpul HG's on the 15T.

They will be sold at some point, but not right now.
I just wanted to show people that S&W had started to ship them & that we should start to see the Magpul MBUS & HG's start to ship.

Yes. S&W adding the Magpul MOE items to their AR is simply a fantastic idea IMHO.

They should have included the Magpul Enhanced Trigger Guard, but it's an easy fix..

Good grief people :D.....I wasn't referring to the handguard. Of course I wouldn't remove a Troy midlength rail for plastimatics. Like I said in my last post....I was referring to the black and tan "look" not the exact parts. Pretty much the standard furniture kit from Larue...the Magpul stock, Miad and rail covers.
Damn Grant you must have some serious pull over at Smith. I was talking to a buddy who works there and he put me into contact with a sales guy and supposedl they proposed begining build date was in March with over 3K on back order. I inquired b/c I have one preorder with you.
A question for you in regard to that rifle. I live in a ban state (for now) and it doesnt look like I am going to be able to get my letter from the chief for one of these rifles. Would you be able to make it ban compliant as long as I paid for the work and parts?

This is great news. I called them a few weeks ago to ask when we would see them and whoever I talked to said he didn't even see them on the production schedule so it would be at least 6 months! I guess he was wrong...

I guess I'm missing something here as well and I'm having a hard time getting excited about the MBUS. Perhaps the comparison between plastic mags and rear sights is too subtle for me.
I do like the direction S&W is going with their M&P 15 series, however.

We know some people at S&W, but wouldn't say that we have any pull. ;)

my thoughts exactly and may have to pick one up so i can actually have a KISS carbine.
Very cool, I actually finished this last week, before I knew of what S&W was doing.

I think once Magpul starts selling MOE handguards in FDE I'll put a set on my carbine...should be lighter and cleaner than my MI quad rail covered in XTM panels:p

Does S&W actually manufacture the weapon or do they assemble other manufacturers parts? I have heard rumors about who actually makes the gun but that rumor has changed several times. Anyone know???

TC makes a lot of components for them so I would say that about 30% of the weapon is made in house. This is far more than a lot of companies.
They assemble the weapons in house (drill the FSB, etc).
