does anyone know if i can swap a barrel in a glock 20 10mm to a 40 cal barrel. would i need to swap mags to.:D

I know KKM makes a barrel but I'm not sure about the mags. I suspect you'll have to use G22 mags but I'm not positive about the fit in the G20. You might want to PM HotRod9mm and make him aware of this thread.

A few years back, Jim Cirillo wrote of converting a G20 over to .40 S&W. I believe all he changed was the barrel. You can't use G22 mags in the G20 as they're much smaller than the G20 mags.

That is what I suspected. Was there any feeding issues with the .40 S&W in the 10mm magazines?

Cool. thanks guys. Im just looking to offset the cost of the 10mm rounds. I actually have a 20c but im cool with a non compensated .40 barrel.:cool:

Yes, all you need is a new barrel. Use the 20 mags. No problems. You can also get a .357 sig barrel.

I have a G29 with a .40 barrel. I use the G29 mags and it works great. The spent casings don't fly very far when ejected but it functions fine.

KKM makes a great barrel conversion for the G20 ($165) from Glockmeister-The ammo can be loaded longer and the gun will shoot much softer than the G22, due to the size of the frame and weight-Get the Arrendondo basepads and you can get 20+1 in the magzine.

A friend of mine and I were talking about this the other day. The G20 with a .40 barrel would be the cats ass for a cheap Limited gun. You could load the ammo VERY long like you can in a STI/SVI 2011 which does shoot very soft.
