I've forgotten....is this new frame from Glock supposed to be a replacement to the current frame or an option kinda like the 21 vs. 21SF? I thought it was supposed to be an option to the current.

It's currently a separate model and does not supplant the regular Gen3 G22.

Thats what I thought Todd, thanks. I did a search with your name looking for this but couldn't find anything. Do you think it may eventually replace it?

It's certainly possible, and Glock has demonstrated in the past a displeasure with producing multiple versions of a frame mold.

Of the people I know who've handled a RTF, a slight majority preferred it to the 3rd Gen gun. All of the positive comments have been about the frame; I've yet to meet a single person who feels the slide serration modification was a positive change and quite a few think it is worse.

There have been a couple people who dislike the RTF because the front edges of the grip frame are contoured differently, making the gun feel a little bigger/brick-like in one's hand depending on hand size/shape.
