I believe if you check the info/dvd for the film "Dirty Harry" again you will find that Don Siegel directed it, not John Milius. Mr. Milius was however an un-credited writer on the script for "Dirty Harry", at least according to Wikipedia. He's still a cool director, he just didn't direct that particular piece of cinematic greatness.

Not trying to be a nit-pickey SOB, just to give proper credit where it is due...
