What modifications are required to fit a MAGPUL MIAD on an AR10?

Thanks!

No modifications necessary if you use the largest backstrap. I've seen others say they've used anything from epoxy to pieces of Magpul ladders as additional supports for the spring.

Magpul mentions a fix for this ("AR10 / SR25 Wedge" - Item #MAG065 - on bottom of p. 9 of their 2008 catalog (http://www.magpul.com/pdfs/2008catalog.pdf)), but they have not yet released it.

No mods needed for me using their largest backstrap, just make sure you use the roll pin to secure the backstrap or it will loosen up.

I also seem to remember some weirdness with an additional spring, but once the grip was on tight with the spring aligned correctly, it was a non-issue.

Regardless of the backstrap the rear takedown pin spring location is problematic in SR25's and AR10's.

Sometimes you get lucky and the spring stays where it should, however if you run the gun - it will likley come loose and you are fubar - until you remove the grip and fix the spring.

Magpul is aware of the issue.

My current method for an SR25 is to use expoxy to build up a shelf for it, others I know have made a plastic insert by hand.

Epoxy the grip or tap the detent hole for a small set screw.

Yep, I just use a glob of CA or a piece of ladder rail + CA. No issues so far.
