I took my E2D with me on a couple of flights to Connecticut and Puerto Rico and I've never had an issue.

Went through security at four different airports over the past four days. Had a Novatac flashlight and a Surefire pen all four times. Never so much as a blink from TSA. It's a flashlight and a pen. What's there to get excited about?

I've had great luck with TSA, despite flying with assorted goodies that should get me lots of attention. It's all in the pacakaging and obscuring the purpose.

The things that TSA has outright missed, and what they've failed to recognize during experimentation does not inspire confidence.

Even with baggage charges and the risk of loss, I still am unwilling to travel without other gear. Regardless of venue.
