Alrighty... My MI rear sling mount arrived today so as promised, heres a mini review..
Since going with the VCAS sling I needed to find a way to use a rear swivel with my SOPMOD stock. In the interim I followed Stephens Idea and used the good ole fashion 550 cord.

So I slide off the Butt-stock and slip on the new sling mount. it comes with it's own Allen wrench and a QD swivel. The swivel included is a little on the Wimpy side and was replaced with a beefier version I already had.

As advertised, the MI Mount will allow all positions to be used. I was able to close my SOPMOD stock all the way.

I am very happy with the sling mount. it positions the swivel well and with the way the battery tube covers on my SOPMOD stock stick out, it keeps the swivel from rotating 360 which was a pleasant surprise. I am very happy with it, I did not have to try and remove the buffer castle nut(Staked) to use a different type of sling plate and it was $45 shipped.
