I have a chance to purchase a LMT Piston AR NIB for $1737.00. Would you say this is a good price? I need one more AR to go with my Noveske Low Pro 16.

sounds reasonable to me- that cant be much more than they went for pre-obamination

I paid retail for mine: $1995. If you can get one for the price you said, it is only a hundred or so above dealer!!! Why haven't you already purchased it??? You can turn it around and sell it on Gunbroker for almost $1000 profit!!

That seems to be a good deal on a complete LMT piston AR. Post up some pics after you get it :).

is charging $1,795 for the 16" piston upper only (well above MSRP).

I hope this is a typo and not Rainier starting to screw it's loyal customers.

$1440.95 is the MSRP for a piston upper, so $1795 is gouging. The MSRP for the complete rifle is $1995. Right now if you can get the complete rifle for that price and you don't buy it....I want it! I have no problem with a dealer selling at MSRP in this market, but over pricing is wrong.
I work for a dealer at at gun shows and we typically don't go above MSRP that I know of.

That is for a complete rifle.

He is...my point was he's onto a screaming deal...some folks (Ranier) are charging that amount for the upper alone.

does anyone know the length or the rails on the LMT Piston rifles?

It's a mid-length rail..so like 9". The "Rifle" MRP is 11".

does anyone know the length or the rails on the LMT Piston rifles?

LMT makes two lengths (CQB and Rifle). All the LMT piston systems use the shorter CQB length rails.

It's called "Supply and Demand" and Supply is low right now. Thanks to Obama, Demand is high with people who never previously owned an AR, now wanting to buy one.

This is the MRP piston 16" barrel, so its close to 7" (the TD panels are 6").
