I ran across this last night and order a 1000 round case this morning. I was wondering if $499.95 + $10.00 shipping was a fair price? I've been searching for XM193 but haven't had much luck and I know this is good stuff.
I have another question as well, how does Black Hills .223 55 grain compare to XM193 and which of my stash should I be using first the XM193 or the Black Hills for practice?
I'll share the wealth if it is a fair price:

Midway runs over $600 for the same stuff now days, when you can get it ($33/box)

That's going to be good ammo. But it equates to $10.20 per 20 rounds for regular .223,.... ouch.

That makes Walmart's Federal Bulk pack look like a reasonable price.

50cents/round is on the pricey side for training ammo, but Black Hills ammo is perhaps the standard by which all others is judged.

Xm193 is rejected ammo that sometimes runs excessive pressures. At a recent EAG class, the shooter next to me was getting rightfully frustrated because his Xm193 was popping primers at the cyclic rate, giving him lots of malfunction-clearance practice.

That's a fair price. Quality costs.

The BHA 55gr FMJ is a SAAMI spec load, not M193. Adjust what you'll use each for best on your needs.

As practice ammo, I believe there is none better.

There are a number of agencies that carry the new manufacture ball for duty ammo. It is a suboptimal choice in bullet, but those they've shot have not complained.

I was at walmart the other day and they wanted $25 for WWB, 50 rounds...50 cents a round at walmart is ridiculous, I didnt buy any. Went home and reloaded the rest of my powder. Now I need to order some powder.

Doesn't look to bad for red box. Blue box or even seconds aren't much cheaper in my neck of the woods.

Sure it wasnt his chamber?

IIRC one of the carbines he tried had a NATO chamber with same result.

I say its a deal, basic 55gr ammo is 450 a case now, and now you have match grade ammo for a few pennies a round more
