This started in GD over at ARFCOM, but I feel it needs a home in the M4Carbine.net optics forum as well.

Remember this thread the next time someone asks if these scopes are worth a damn.

Are those the folks with the same marketing Genius behind X-treme Shock ammo?

ETA: Yup, another gem from the good folks at Dork Ops...

It would appear that they use the same marketing firm: http://www.pyramont.com/

FYI: this thread: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=18&t=342322 also has detailed info about the bogus & fraudulent nature of Dark Ops & Counter Sniper Optics.

Caveat emptor.

But gosh...

Limited number of US Gov. Marked Contract overruns available! May
show minor marks of mounting but fully warranted and available for a
limited time at 70% off.
I'm guessing the gov contract is super-duper secret.

Apparently these are Vortex optics (or at least some of the models)...made in China.

I have one and its worked well so far...but after reading this thread, I'm going to mount it on a rimfire instead, and get me an aimpoint.

I'll tell you one thing--if I ever decide to start selling shit on the internet, I want to hire these guys' website design team and copy writers. The only thing missing are the x-ray lens caps to let you see through walls!

By the way, I don't have a scope, I have one of their red dot sights, and like I said, its worked ok so far, zeroed it to around 50 meters or so...but I'm already talking to my buddy who sells Aimpoints here, might get an ML2...but should I get a T1 or an H1 since I'm using a 7.5inch barrel on my SBR?

Sorry to hear that, because if you paid more than $34.99 http://cgi.ebay.com/Vector-Optics-Tactical-1x28-Red-Green-Dot-Scope-Sight_W0QQitemZ140248687828QQihZ004QQcategoryZ66827QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262?_trksid=p1742.m153.l1262
(which I'm pretty sure you did) then they ripped you off badly.

Yup, I did get taken for a ride, but its a lesson learned I suppose. Do you have any input on what I should use on a 7.5 inch SBR?

I'm using an ML2, but I may swap out my firepig for a PWS CQC flashhider. :D

I also removed the Brugger and Thomet foregrip, and replaced it with a Tango Down QD stubby.

just sitting here wondering if or how many members own and use any Counter Sniper Optics products, i have three and a fourth on order and expect it to be delivered sometime this week, i am building a "Counter Sniper Rifle", i have a fairly accurate older Colt H-Bar with a Trijicon ACOG on it, i put on an RRA flat top receiver, added a Yankee Hill full length free float forearm.., which BTW i believe is a very fine product and so easy to install, then mounted this scope: http://www.countersniperoptics.com/photo/62.jpg i am waiting for a few more accessories to be delivered this week and off to the range Friday for sighting in and accuracy testing at 100 and 200 yd., i'll write up my results next week.

I love this line from their website;

24 step vacuum Bertrillium-Zantitium™ multicoating, raises the light transmission coefficients to beyond anything achieved to date.

What IS that?!?! Bird flu particulate? Dissident residue? WHO knows?!?!

I'm guessing NCStar is simply these guys factory seconds.
