I think they were AT6 Texans or one of those WW2 vintage training planes. (Which btw are dressed up all the time to be used in war movies as zeros and other fighters)

can't get enough of that stuff, the one that got me was the F18 flying through the harbor at the sound barrier. I wonder how many windows got broke in that pass!

NEGATIVE GHOSTRIDER, THE PATTERN IS FULL !!
I went to an air show in tennessee a few years ago and a pilot in a F15 flew across the runway at just about stall speed with the nose way up. He then went to full afterburner and was up through the clouds and gone in seconds !! Some of the best flying I have ever seen at that show. He booked around the base and did a low flyover of the viewing area, scared the shit out of everyone !!

~summer of '98 I was jogging around the perimeter of (then Buckley ANG Base) Buckley Air Force Base (http://www.140wg.ang.af.mil/) in Aurora, CO and I got a surprise much like the one at 3:05 in the OP's link. Didn't see/hear the F16 coming until it was on top of me :D

my dad had some good stories when he flew F-86 sabers in the Korean war and coming in over the rice paddies they would drop down and pull up really hard making this huge roost :)

he also did some test pilot stuff in Arizona in the early days and had a good story when he was showing off a new F-86 model for a bunch of high ups and they were on this hill or rise in the desert and he thought it would be fun to come in below them right off the deck inverted so he was actually lower then they were when aproaching and stay inverted
well when he pulled up and rolled and turned over he said all he could see was this huge huge huge dust cloud :)
