View Full Version : Vickers/Nighthawk 1911
What type of rail comes on the pistol?
Is it GTG with the Surefire X300?

I think they call the integral-railed frames 'recon' - not 100% certain. Hope this helps...
I believe they came both ways,... with or without rail...

Nighthawk Custom Vickers Tactical Pistol
By Kimberly Madelon
Nighthawk Custom recently partnered with Larry Vickers to produce the Nighthawk Custom Vickers Tactical 1911 pistol. Built to Vickers' specifications, each Tactical pistol comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Vickers, and serial numbers will begin with the prefix "LV."
The pistol's Caspian Arms frame has an integral extended magazine well and plunger tube, ensuring that the plunger tube will not come loose. There are front and rear cocking serrations, a trigger designed by Vickers, and the pistol has been completely dehorned.
Options include Novak, Bo-Mar or Heinie sights and green or black Coyote Strider grips or mil/tac black/gray grips. Contact Nighthawk Custom, (877) 268-4867, www.nighthawkcustom.com.
I believe the interface is the same as a standard 1913 rail. It should not be an issue to mount your X300.

Correct.
The railed version just used a Caspian Race Ready - Recon - Carbon receiver w/ the LAV specified Tactical Magwell (comes with it's own MSH) and Integral Plunger Tube options.
Although the Nighthawk/Vickers deal is history you can still order the identical receiver and slide from Caspian.
