You might wish to visit some of the vendors (sponsors) on this sight. IMO, the prices of the two you linked to seem quite high by comparison. Just a thought.

Then buy it subjective to an accounting of your diving and night vision needs. Good lord, this ain't rocket science.

Brownells gives a good LEO discount. But I will check around.

I am looking for a good price on a quality Aimpoint. I have a M4 on my patrol rifle. I want this one for my AR10 carbine. I made too hasty of a purchase before for my 9mm carbine. I bought a AImpoint Comp Ml. An earlier sight with poor battery life. I just want to make a better choice this time. This is not my main rifle I want to have decent battery life and still be durable and water resistant. But I don't need night vision capability on this gun. What say you all.

Did you click on the chart in my link? It shows battery life, weight, water resistance depth, etc. Should give you all the information you need to make your own decision.

sorry I did. Sorry about being redundant. The chart did not compare the previous ML2 however.

What do you mean by "previous"? If you mean an older version, I'm not sure if the specs for the ML2 have ever changed. Aimpoint has always been pretty good about issuing a new model number for their products when the specs significantly change. The "current"" ML2 and M2, as well as the models you initially linked to (the C3 and ML3), are all covered in the chart.

Personally I have a hard time coming up with any reason not to call up G&R and order up a C3 in mount for $450 anytime I need an Aimpoint.

Sorry Rob my mistake I did not follow your link all the way to the chart just to the initial page with the quick and dirty explanation. I followed it now. Thanks for your time and hard work on this chart.
