I just noticed the dates stamped on a bunch of GI AR mags, Brownells mags , etc. etc. Do all AR mags have dates stamped on the the bodies? Just curious...?

No. All >10 round mags made during the AWB had to have a "post-94 LE or export only" warning on them, but that's it. You're right, a lot of manufacturers do put dates on their mags though.

Nope. Not mandatory. Many do strictly for quality control..

I thought it was to comply with AW Ban states, but was not sure. I just wanted ones that were not date stamped, any body have a link to ones that are not? :confused:

I don't recall EVER seeing a date-stamped mag (aside from an HK G3 mag!) prior to the AWB. There MAY have been some stamped AR mags... but I never came across them. Some Colt mfg. mags, maybe? :confused:

Suprisingly or not, none are Colt! They were purchased from the time the AWB expired up until 2 weeks ago from various vendors all over the place.
