Is anyone else having problems with the search functions? I haven't been able to get either search function to work for the past month or so, has it been a problem with the site in general or is it just my connection down here at Maxwell?

When doing a search try picking one of the search options listed such as "find posts from your last visit and older" ect. The search function will not work for me unless I pick one of the options.

Thanks, but that didn't fix it. I'll just chalk it up to the poor connection I have here while TDY.

I've been having all sorts of search problems, too. Have basically given up on it.

I was having problems connecting to my work system too - and switched from Internet Explorer to FireFox. That solved the work connectivity but not the M4.

Well, to whomever fixed it, thank you.

Both search functions seem to be working fine for me now. Just in time for me to finish this school and go TDY to another! :)

Whenever I search, it just goes to a blank white page.

My experience is similar to jeffrey's, but it doesn't occur every time. Most times, but not every time. I've mostly given up on the search feature and simply have my own folder under bookmarks dedicated to M4Carbine.net. :D

The SEARCH function works poorly for me, it seems to miss a lot of phrases...

the search function here has pretty well sucked since the beginning. Between not finding threads that I KNOW exist (like "chart" in the thread title, started by "rob_s, ;) ) one day but finding them no problem the next, to the fact that we use too many acronyms here and the search doesn't let you look for 3-letter words, to the 30 seconds between searches (not sure what that's supposed to accomplish).

I always chuckle a bit when a new guy shows up and someone posts "use the search function!"

I've had better luck using the site-specific google search.

google seems to work better when trying to find an old thread. Just type m4carbine.net behind it.
