The ergo grip feels fine to me.

Doesn't look right to me either. Looks like the bottom rail portion is slid or bolted on and should go back another 1/4" or so so that the rear of it is flush with the rear of the entire handguard.

Here's where is doesn't look like the bottom rail is all the way back. That silver button should be inside that hole in the bottom rail. The front of the bottom rail shouldn't extend beyond the side and top rails (muzzle end).

That silver looking thing (see circled pic) is the detent and it needs to line up with the hole on the rail.
