I ended up with one of the gen2 dominator mounts from RRA. Does anyone have any feedback on how well these attach and hold up over time?

I dont't know the differrence between first and second generation with the dominator, but I do have a dominator on an AR, with the EoTech 552. It's solid. I wanted an A2 iron sight that was fixed...I wanted the same sight picture every time, either with or without the optic, and I get that with a fully adjustable A2 in the Dominator. I also like the single picatinny slot that ensures the EoTech goes back the same every time, if it's removed.

My only complaint, and it really isn't one, is that activating the control switches on the EoTech means reaching them from above to get my fingers between the fixed sight and the EoTech.

I use a standard tower front sight (mine has a X/S tritium stake in it). I'm very happy with the overall arrangement.

The Dom's aren't cutting edge, but they work. I don't use one, but I've never heard any complaints either.
The original has one slot, and the Gen 2 has a 7 slot picatinney rail that would allow greater flexibility in mounting.
I prefer the Larue, myself.

I use a RRA Dominator mount with an EoTech 552 and like it just fine. I shot M16’s so much in the Army that having a familiar A2 sight picture is comfortable for me and easy to zero. I’m sure there are a couple hundred setups both better and worse, but I like this one.

I know several folks "using" them with no complaints.
