Im about to order the new 5 coil spring w/ black insert for my extractor(finally wore mine out) and it comes w/ Crane O Rings

Do i need the O rings?

If your at the point where you wore the old 5 coil spring out I would replace the extractor if it is a fighting gun and if not check to make sure the teeth are still GTG.

Yeah i was thinking of that, and will do that too, and just pass on the O-Ring unless its needed

Just order the springs and Black Buffers from Brownells separately and save a bunch!

"O" rings need to be tested and really have been successful in carbine length and shorter gas systems. If yours is a Middy or Rifle length gas system they will cause FTE's.

On fighting carbines I recommend replacing the bolt at 5k as well and 3K for the extractor and bolt internals. On training and others I run it til the bolt breaks.
