Takin an Upper Apart...w/out special tools

Ok, I got standard tools, and no specific AR builder tools. I want to take an upper aprt to sell off the pieces: Barrel, barrel nut, upper, Delta ring, etc.

My big concern is screwing the barrel nut off (to get the barrel out) w/ out a any specific tools like a barrel wrench and action block. I don't plan on doing this all the time, just this once. So, investing $ in a wrench or block is not going to happen . Besides, I'm cheap. What do you recommend?

Also, how do I get the Delta Ring off?

I suggest selling the parts to someone who doesn't mind chewed up mangled parts. Buy a armorer's wrench for $30.00 and resell it when you're done.;) Snap ring pliers to get the delta ring retainer off.

you need a barrel nut wrench to get the barrel off

Find someone in your area that will help you out. Any shooting clubs or ranges near you ? Or sell the upper, intact.
