Do you support a federal ban on assault weapons?

Just voted. It is scary that as of right now 38.21% support a ban, but it is even scarier to me that 2.439% are not sure/don't care. These people need to get educated & pick a side (preferbly to be against the ban)

I bet that most folks do not know what they are against. It is sad.... My daughter told me of a friend who "knows a guy who has to register himself as a weapon when he goes to an amusement park because he is a professional fighter and could hurt someone." Granted these are high school seniors but still......

Thank God my daughter laughed at him when he told her this and while retelling it to me!

Internet polls are great for one thing: making you feel like you've done something from the comfort of your computer screen. Other than that, they are pointless. It's really very easy for some computer geek to write a program that would vote a few thousand times one way or the other...

On the other hand, if you enjoy actually accomplishing something moderately useful contact your elected officials (http://www.usa.gov/Contact/Elected.shtml) and explain to them how your vote (and campaign donations!) depends on how they treat the issues important to you.

If you're not into personal action, it's pretty cheap and easy to pony up and join the NRA (http://www.nra.org/) and/or the SAF (http://www.saf.org/) and let them speak/act on your behalf.

I voted. The Yes camp only has 10.01% where as the No camp has 89.43%.
