Anyone appendix carrying a Gov 1911?

Just wondering. I notice Custom Carry Concepts makes an appendix looper for a full size 1911 and it's got me tempted. I am pretty sold on this mode of carry for smaller "full size" pistols (ala G19 and M&P9) and compact pistols, but I am just not sure how well it would work with a 5" barrel. Does anyone have experience with this?

This doesn't answer your question but I appendix carry a full size M&P (4.25" barrel) in a Looper. I am 5'5", 160 with a little belly and it is very comfortable. I imagine if you are a normal sized person it wouldn't be much of a problem.

Not with a 5" Govt mdl but I have carried a M&P9L (same size as a Govt.) in a Raven ACR without any difficulty. However I usually carry a FS M&P9 in that same holster.

Without being intrusive, what is your body type?

I personally am 6' 210# with a 36" waist and a little more belly than I need :D. I carry an M&P9C in an appendix Looper and it works great, just wondering if a 1911 will work as well.
