So, how does Vltor's Brake work in terms of reducing muzzle rise?

I run one on a 16" barrel. Seems to work. I have not done any subjective tests doing an A/B against other similar guns. I do not notice any muzzle rise or anything out of the ordinary

I'm running the VC-1 on my 16" Recon Carbine and my 10.5" SBR. I don't really notice any difference with single shots, but it does provide a noticeable compensation effect in rapid fire, and isn't anywhere near as obnoxious to bystanders as a true compensator.

FWIW.

I was thinking about picking one of these up, but had pretty much read the same everywhere else, not much difference between it and an A2. Now I'm looking at a PWS FSC556.

sure it does. and recoil too.
you just have to shoot it next to a .22LR upper to notice what you didn't before ;)

I'm allergic to them.

I like my PWS FSC556.

Cool. I've heard that these do a good job of cutting muzzle rise. How's it do for flash?
