I think it’s about time for us to have a picture thread for everything you guys own besides Glock’s and 1911’s.
Please post some pictures of your; Sig, Smith & Wesson, HK, Ruger, FN, CZ, Browning, Berreta, Taurus, Walther, Kahr, Kel-Tec, Steyr, FEG, IMI, Hi-Point, North American Arms, Rossi, Inglis, Charles Daly, ETC.
Both revolvers & semi-autos.
This should be a great thread.
The only pistol I own that's not a 1911 or Glock.
My Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm.

So far, so good.
I love it.
I hope to add pictures of a HK45, HK45C, S&W MP45, and S&W 686 to this thread later this year.
Okay-

The Walther is a great gun, an ergonomic Glock IMO.

Won't replace the 1911, but the HK makes a nice little carry gun.

Very nice Jason, could you give a brief description about each gun?
You bet...
The first gun is a Devel full-house conversion of a Smith and Wesson 39. Innovative doesn't even begin to describe the guns that came from Charles Kelsey's Devel company. The Devel conversions, as well as Pairs Theodore's ASP pistols, are one of the reasons S&W has the compact 9mm pistols they do today and those who remember the 669 will see it's linage in the Devel conversions of S&W 59s. The cutting edge work Kelsey performed on the Devel 39s and 59s was ahead of it's time and to call Kelsey important to the gun industry would be putting it lightly.
The second gun is a Jim Hoag built Browning Hi-Power. I was immediately drawn to this gun because of its retro styling... squared and checkered trigger guard, K-frame rear sight, screw in barrel bushing, 40lpi checkering, etc. It goes well with my Swenson guns and makes a neat retro holster gun tucked into one of my old Sparks Summer Speacials.
The next piece a Smith and Wesson 58... .41MAG is cool and so are wheel-guns! This gun is a nice compliment to a S&W M13 as they are both what I consider the best fixed sighted guns Smith ever produced. Both the M13 and the M58 are fighting guns all the way! :D
The last is my daily back-up gun and it lives in the Alessi ankle rig it's picture with. The gun is a fairly pedestrian S&W 442 finished in nickel... it now wears a nice set of Spegel grips and seems to like Remington's +P 158gr LHP.

Oh, he does. He's going to camp out in front of Walmart when the Sig556 rifle comes out!!Hahaha...almost! I am on the Ordnance Outsellers waiting list for the SIG556 SWAT. I have a Magpul CTR and a TA31RCO-M4 ACOG awaiting an install. They are very anxious. :D
Suicide, do I know you from another forum? Your screen name sounds very familiar.
I figured this might be a good place to introduce myself on M4Carbine. I just want to say that this site is excellent, I've already found a few topics that I believe are lacking on other forums. I appreciate all you guys and the info thats here, thanks for letting me be a part of it.

You might have seen that name on 2 different 1911 forums, but I've been banned with that name...

My Grandfather's brother brought this Walther PP back. Supposedly the story is that he was in the first tank division to cross the Rhine. Some research states that the Walther plant was ransacked in '45. Not sure if he acquired it that way or from a German soldier. Upon return he gave it to my Grandpa, and I just picked it up after he passed away last year.

Some further inquiring from some Walther gurus:
Hi Wes:
I'm sure Dieter will stop by soon, but I can give you the date of production,
it was early 1944.You say the grips are brown or if they are the pistol was
used in competition shooting, and the grips were started back in the early
30's and changed from one pisol after another thru the years. You are lucky
to have a matching mag sn,if you could find the #1
you would be really in good shape. The SA was called the Storm Div,Storm
troopers or brown shirts. This was in the late twenties and earl thirties.
Regards Danny
Hello Wes,
That PP was made in 1944 and is one of the sixth production version
(longer tang, no step at trigger guard base). The reddish grips were
indeed issued for SA shooters. The serialled mag number "2" is unusual
for an SA shooter though.
Dieter H. Marschall.
This "everything else" gun is fast becoming "something else." Not to M&P everyone to death, but these things are a great alternative for us 1911 fans. I can't wait to hold the .45ACP version.

This is one of the few handguns I have that's worth taking a picture of.
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82/zulu15/44SPEC.jpg
Smith & Wesson 3rd Model Hand Ejector, .44 Special, made in 1933. It took me the better part of a decade to find a 4" example for sale, and I paid such a ridiculously small amount for this beauty it would make you sick. I still have the original grips it came with, but I like these Herrett's Shooting Stars better. I'm more into Glocks nowadays, but this is one I will never sell for any amount of money.
Derek
I just picked up this Finnish M23 Luger. The Finns bought these from Germany in 1923, originally in .30 Luger, and then rebarrelled them. This thing probably saw action in both the 1939-1940 Winter War and the 1941-44 Continuation War with the Soviet Union.
This is a non matching pistol. Tikka barrel, which is appx. 5" vs. a P08 4". The front sight is more like a target pistol sight, almost looks like it's off of a M39 rifle. It works well though.
Bore condition is very good, no pitting or frosting that I can see.
The pistol has been reblued, I'm assuming by the FDF because it matches the M39 finish. There is light pitting under the reblue around the grip area, which I expected in a service pistol like this.
I test fired it at the range I used to transfer it. Damn thing shoots like a house a' fire!! :D
If I load 5 rounds in the mag, it functions 100%. When I load to 7, it will sometimes fail to feed. I have some other Finn mags coming and I'll thoroughly degrease and clean the pistol and mag as well.
My only bitch about the gun is on the left side of the barrel, there is some blue taken off recently, probably in shipping over here. I can live with it. I could live with it more if it were honest holster wear, but oh well, it's a surplus military firearm, not a pristine safe queen.
I'm also happy with how they stamped it for importation. Right side of the frame, very inconspicuous.
Toggle is marked DWM.
I'm pretty stoked about this thing. I'm going to shoot IDPA with it  .
I've got a little bit of 1959 dated Lapua 9mm Parabellum, which is loaded in the mag.

Templar---That is one gorgeous revolver. That particular model is my favorite of all time closely followed by the older pinned barrel model 19's. Those grips fit that gun the best of any. They look a lot like Jordan grips.
I don't know where in the world you found it but congratulations! I've looked for one of those for years without any luck:-(

Thanks Phil. It's actually one of the current production Thunder Ranch Special Model 22's that Smith and Wesson is producing. Unfortunately, it's not one of the first run guns.
Now that you mention it, the Ahrends do look a lot like the old Jordan grips, but they aren't quite as thick as I remember the Jordans being. If it were anything with more recoil than .45 ACP, it wouldn't be all that pleasant to shoot.
Ah ok. I'm glad they stopped putting the lighting mark on those. I like the original look much better. Your right though to bad it's not an original but hey it's still a gorgeous revolver.
I had some Jordans made for a 4 inch model 29 back in the late 80's and they stung something fierce! They looked good but not practical for a heavy caliber gun. I did like them on my early model 19 though. There's nothing like older S&W revolvers!
Ah ok. I'm glad they stopped putting the lighting mark on those. I like the original look much better.
So that the same model as the one with the gold bling on the side, only w/o the bling?
That's a great-looking revolver. I'm not a fan of the key lock, but even still...
I sent my M&P 9mm off to David Bowie for a trigger job and to have him stipple the entire grip area. I got it back yesterday. While I can't show you the trigger work (it's sweet), here is what the grip now looks like:

Wow. I haven't seen a Walther GSP since the one I shot with on my college pistol team. I LOVED that gun. It was the kind of gun that you could call each shot as it broke and you'd know exactly where it was going. Easily adjustable trigger, good weight, nice grip and just as accurate as any Pardini or what have you.

I mainly use my Walther GSP .22 upper conversion as practice for my .32 which I use for my local gun club competition back around mid to late 70s.
For .22 L.R. and .22 Short target pistols I used my French made Unique DES 69 (L.R.) and Unique DES VO (Short).
My best memory of this Walther .22 is that at my same local gun club's pistol team, and some of them have Pardini and Russian TOZ free target pistols, we beat our club's archery team at a 50m competition.

These things bite the shit out of my wookie hand worse than an unmodified M1911A1.....but I'm going to have the hammer spur bobbed down and that should help alot.
I found this early 90's Argentine Fabrica Militar P-35 on gunbroker....price was right, it was NIB, so I ran with it.
I picked it up today and had the mag safety removed and a Mk. III ambi safety put on. I had an old pair of Mk. III grips laying around from my last Hi Power, and I had to put them on because the original grips, which I like alot, aren't cut for the ambi-safety.
The black enamel paint is probably not nearly as durable as a FN or a Browning finish, but it doesn't look too terrible.

You should buy a SIG.
FYI if you ever use your osborne as a screwdriver and break the tip, a new blade will cost $40 from Benchmade- replaced and returned! And, if/when the screws start to all fall out, they will fix that for free.

Picked her up to serve as a first gun for my kids. They're won't be ready for the range for a few more years, in the meantime I get to enjoy her ;).
I'm planning to send her to Bill Adair for a restoration later this summer when his backlog clears up.

My Smith 629. Unfortunately it's got the lawyer lock on it. :( It's got a really nice trigger and it's a lot more accurate than I am. (Of course, I suck so that's really not saying much...)
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y16/jwayne_777/Colt1903.jpg?t=1188053102
My 1903 Colt hammerless in .32 ACP. I got it for 100 bucks....it looks rough, but there are some places where you can still see the original fire-blue finish colt used to use. It's one of the very first models that had a barrel bushing like a 1911. It's over 100 years old and yet it still runs 100%. A fun gun...not something I would ever carry for serious social purposes.

FN hi-gloss finished Hi-Power. Bought it when CDNN had them in stock a few years ago. I think I've fired 20 rounds through it...someday I keep telling myself I am going to have custom work done on it.
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y16/jwayne_777/IMG_3117.jpg?t=1188053345
S&W model 18. I'm in love with high quality blued revolvers and this one I found languishing at a local auction. I paid more than I wanted to for it, but it's still worth it.
The only problem is that the S&W performance center wouldn't do a trigger job on it for me. :(

I honestly don't know. I had a thing for J-frames and was buying them up for a period of about 10 years there, but haven't even compared prices in a few years. Sorry.
I wouldn't think it would be worth very much, though.
I just looked, and I gave $225 for that one in Nov 1997. I wouldn't expect to get that much out of it now, that's for sure.
Either you may be in for a surprise or my FFL was trying to take me on one with less finish for $250 or so...

I'm probably being pessimistic.
And there is the difference in what a dealer would allow me on mine, and what they would sell it for too. I may not expect to get anything but my $225 back (if I'm lucky and get that much), and they'll price it at another 10% or so over whatever they would allow me for it... so really, $250 may be about right.

IMO, there nothing like a S&W k-frame! Top photo is my Model 66-3, a limited run edition .357 with a 3-inch barrel, round butt and pinned front site blade (I still have the original red ramp blade). I have owned many, many S&W revolvers over the years and this one is without a doubt the tightest factory gun I've ever owned. It's action is smooth but not too light, the cyclinder indexes beautifully on double action and is tight in all directions. It has a very limited round count at this point, probably less then 200 rounds of factory .357 125 grain JHP loads, and can shoot the x-ring out of a B27 at 25 yards. I do not feel undergunned when carrying it!
The second gun is my Model 14-5, which has seen more use but with copper-clad wadcutter target loads almost exclusively. I used to participate in a civilian PPC league and this was the gun I used.

The Smith & Wesson Model 10 Military/Police Revolver.
The pistol has an extensive history of being a well proven and reliable weapon for both Law Enforcement personal and the many branches of our Armed Forces.
http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h261/globemaster_oly/DSCN5588.jpg
I came across this M10 revolver the other day while I was looking over a showcase and while I was browsing the display cabinet I notice a few of these gems laying on the bottom shelf and marked with price tag that I would conceder reasonable for their current condition, the pistols were and for the most part very clean and only showed just the slightest evidence of service and/or holster wear manly around the muzzle tip and all were assigned to a local Sheriffs office and are stamped as such and had been sold off on the open market to a few of the local shops in town.
http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h261/globemaster_oly/DSCN5597.jpg
I qualified and was Awarded a ribbon in Small-Arms Marksmanship with a pistol just like this back in the mid-80s and thought nothing of the weapon assigned to me at that time other than why hasnt the military gone to something cool like the M9 pistol yet.
While there are many well documented articles written about the M10. I came across a personal writing by a individual that was so well written I thought Id share his note and quote his written words because they pretty much sum up the S&W M10
Quote by Marko Old Reliable (http://www.frontiernet.net/~lendringser/sw10.htm)
The Model 10 is the "everything you need and nothing you don't" handgun. It has been around in its basic form since 1899 when Smith & Wesson introduced the first version of their "Military & Police" hand ejector.
The Model 10 is a solid, dependable and reasonably powerful revolver. It is not the lightest, most powerful, or most concealable revolver on the market, but it is reliable as a hammer. It is also a very flexible weapon: the M10 basic action can be had with a multitude of barrel lengths and grip profiles.
The M10 is a mature, reliable, easy to shoot platform. In the hands of a skilled shooter, it still performs as well as any of the new wonderguns on the market, and better than many. It can launch anything from powder-puff wad cutters to near-Magnum +P+ loads, and it will go bang six times without fail when called upon. I can think of few carry weapons that give me the warm and fuzzes like a S&W K frame, and the M10/M&P is the oldest and best of the bunch.
These days, everybody wants small-frame Magnums made out of Styrofoam, but the steel K frames in .38 Special are more affordable, easier to shoot well, more durable than and just as effective as anything else on the market.

The Finish is the Cera-Hide with BTM on the controls. So far it seems to be very durable. Brad claims it to be much better then Sigs Nitron .

Here's a couple more. These 2 and the 92G Vertec I posted are all my wifes (member 9x19) Berettas.
She's a former Army officer so she bought this for a steal at VA Arms before I ever started working there.
92FS US Army OEF version. We added the Beretta/Farrar rubber grips and a short LTT 'speed bump' trigger.

I love the compacts.
What's a GotM4 triggerjob?
I might need one.
About like an LTT level 2 triggerjob. About a 8-8.5lb DA pull and a 4-4.5lb SA pull, very smooth with a very crisp break.
I don't do them outside of our personally owned guns.
But you can provide me with a little info for my own WECSOG, right?

Sure thing. Not a ton of modifications, but, standard now are Factory Walnut Grips, Skelontonized Hammer, Rubber padded magazines. The grips are much thicker than the plastic M9 variations, giving it a hefty, thicker feel. They're not marked with Beretta's trident emblem, kinda like a Mustang Bullit not having the Mustang emblem. Last is a departure from the current production, they've given it a stainless steel guide rod and brass recoil spring. For those that don't know, Beretta has started releasing their 92/M9s with polymer parts.
$510 plus tax. No safe queen here, I'm gonna shoot the SH&& outta this one :D .
UPDATE: Range Report
If anyone is intersted, I'll try my hand at a quick range report on the Pro Shop Custom. The grip is slightly thicker than most 92FS I've handled, not a major plus or minus. Accuracy...is incredible. Fresh out the box on my second group and it's less than 1 inch from 15 yards. Nothing amazing right? So I begin to really pour it on by running the target out to 25 yards and speed through two of the magazines I had on hand. With a recoil that feels like a .38 Special out of a Python, the Pro has to be my alltime favorite for fast follow up shots. I shot a nice three inch group from a modified Weaver and my attempt at a rapid mag change twice. On fresh target I was consistently hitting POA. The DA first pull is surprisingly crisp. You should know I'm accustomed to crudy, beat to hell and back Army M9s, so yeah, this was a great surprise to me. In short. If you see one, get it. Not highly flashy, but will become your favorite. For now, it definitely is mine.

Here's some teaser pics of Kevin Greeleys (of http://www.greeleycustom.com/) work to my STIs slide and frame. I wanted it a lot lighter. I asked for early 1911 lightening cuts at the muzzle, shorten the dust cover and mill the cocking serrations to flat spots and do the 'Fish Gill' cuts on the top edges of the slide. I can't wait to get this back and start shooting it. I think it looks badass!

The BADDEST! As is that Model 29, nice pistol Ray.
I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

Not mine, friend found it in an old trunk in the attic. Holster made in 1940. The gun appears to be Nazi marked to my untrained eye. The only dead giveaway unoriginal piece is the right side grip screw. The numbers don't match all the way around but the Germans are weird and I have no idea how they serialized these things. First time I ever handled a Luger. It was...different. I wanted to shoot it but I'm kinda glad we didn't.

I have it for well over a dozen years and it has been shot quite a bit in that time, I reblued the ejector rod, a tell-tale sign of use. The gun never disappointed me, the trigger is great and the accuracy as good as it can get.
