Still working on equipping your BOB?

Almost everything at REI is on sale May 1st through May 10th. Sale prices are generally 20-25% off.

Examples: JetBoil, normally $99, now $70; MSR WhisperLite Internationale, normally $90, now $65.

I have no connection with REI other than having been a member for umpty-ump years.

Hit that sale already today and picked up a pair of Sierra Design sleeping bags for my daughters. $199 for Osprey packs etc. Love REI.

Can the REI member coupon and the sale be combined?

I've got a 20% coupon rotting in my inbox that would be nice to use on a high-ticket/on-sale item.

Now might be the time to score some new ASOLOs...

According to the flyer I received, the coupon is good for 20% off on one full-price item, but exclusions apply. Naturally the item you want will be excluded.

I tried to order the same product with the discount coupon code and it told me the Fugitive GTX boots were not eligible for the discount.

I was pissed and did not put my order through.

They wouldn't let me use the member discount on 'em either.

But, the sale price was better than the member coupon, so it's all six in one, half-dozen the other.

I'm curious to see this year's dividend...
