Do you have to unpin the gas block and remove it to get a barrel nut on, or do they ship with the pins not seated yet?

Aren't the Centurion and Noveske mid-length gas system, 16" barrels virtually identical and from the same source of production?

I don't see the appeal of one over the other. Am I missing something?
