Morning all
I ordered 1,000 green tip 62 grain bullets from Hy-Tec.The bullets have some what seems like a sealent, blackish substance on them. It's a little sticky, about like nearly dried glue. Anyway what is the standard method for removing this stuff before loading ? I tumbled 50 of them in my case tumbler for about an hour and it got a lot off....[no longer as sticky just sorta dirty looking]. This was my first purchase of pulled bullets so i have never run into this before. Thanks for any help.

Dropping them in a bucket full of solvent for a few hours then wiping them off might work.

Just a thought.

What Alpha Sierra said. I bought some pulled military bullets once and soaked them in paint thinner, then tumbled them. They came out looking brand new.

YMMV

Thankyou both.
I soaked em for about one hour in Castrol Super Clean, stirred em around a little then dried on paper towels.i then tumbled them for an hour or so.They seem clean and look pretty good now.
ps...did not get em from Hy-Tec, got em from Wideners. I was a little disappointed in how messy they were considering the price.
