Building an Israeli / IDF style AR?

I have seen several posts on here and other boards where people show off their "Israeli" or "IDF" style rifles. Well, now I want one. What style of AR would closely approximate what the Israelis use? What are the dimensions for something simliar to an IDF carbine? Most of the rifles I have seen seem to be similar to a Colt 6520. Is that a good rifle to use for this type of project?


Anyone who can post pictures of their's or other people's IDF style carbine, it would be appreciated.

Just build a carbine with a 4 position stock and an A1 carry handle (like a Colt 723) or an early M4 (727). Then put some CAA knick knacks on it, make a 4 foot long sling, and voila! You have an IDF carbine. ;)
