It states Intermediate length gas system. Is this the same as a mid-length gas system?

no, it is not the same.

It's in between mid and rifle.

That Ranier pic looks a lot like the pic from the Noveske site. Doesn't the gas block look like it is way to close the chamber end? Intermidiate would be about 10-11 inches fromt that end, and in the pic it looks like it is closer to the chamber end than the muzzle end?

Just always bugged me.

I am considering putting this barrel and a VTAC foreend on my Colt HBAR flat top. Anything I should consider first or any pitfalls with this plan?
